AN ultraportable for under RM 4k? That's gonna be tough. I was gonna recommend some sony models, but obviously they're out of your budget...

Yeah...I tot of recomending HP/Compaq ultraport but that would be also higher than 4k.

DELL Inspiron 710M so cheap already ar? Make sure you check if that price is with the older Chipset or the newer one. If its older, then the newer one would be a couple of hundread more....smile.gif

I'm using Asus M5200AE (M5), Galaxy Black(limited edition), weight 1.55kg.
Pentium M 740 1.73mhz
512MB ram
40GB HDD
12.1" XGA TFT LCD

Bought at RM3999 at LYP, before CNY...

Worth to consider...

Asus is ok...I dont know how is the support service in Malaysia but in France (I just arrived here) it is one of the best one...
Another good ultraportable is the LG LW20...I am looking for it but cannot get any information in Malaysia...

Old chipset? Then what is the new chipset now?

Quality wise, I think is not bad... At least this is my 2nd Asus Notebook~

No doubt, the HDD storage is a bit small, but again, got combo drive, can backup those less important files.. tongue.gif

For support, I haven't send for any service or warranty claim, but they have a service centre located near Imbi Plaza, Wisma SPS. For me, the location is kinda easy to access~

At the end, the choice is still yours~

Happy hunting~

Forgot to mention, Asus do provide 2 YEARS International warranty, so I guess this will add some points for it~
