I am filling in a job application form online, and it says to list my identity type.

Do I just choose Malaysia New I.C.# or other ID?

Because my malaysian IC is not upgraded to the latest one, im still using the old malaysian IC..

wow... if you're still using the old IC... you should be around 36 yo now...

Go change to new IC. Cops can arrest u for not having proper identification docs.

Hi, I'm pretty sure the new Malaysian IC# refers to the format, which is the 12 numbers (regardless you're using the latest MyKad or not. Whereby the old Malaysian IC# uses alphabet at the beginning.

As long as your IC is like YYMMDD-xx-nnnn format, it is consider as new IC.

If your IC is like Axxxxxxx or without the A , then confirm you just finish hibernate from cave.

Above for normal civilians, not talking army/others.

Thanks, my IC is in the format YYMMDD-xx-nnnn.

I was just worried if it meant upgrading to the new version of mykad which has some new security features.
