Doodle's Farming Route and Tips:

MY ROUTE:

Start from checkpoint BEFORE you kill azmodan in the core of arreat.

1) clear core of arreat to WP, teleport to Keeps 3 <- Get your 5NV in this 2 place fast becos easy to find elites in both small areas
2) continue to Keeps 2 and to Keeps 1 WP. <- high mob density zone #1
3) switch to Rakkis Crossing WP immediately, clear all the way back to Korsick Bridge WP <- high mob density zone #2
4) switch to Arreat 1, clear to tower of the damned 1, do one circle and end at WP <- high mob density zone #3
5) switch to Arreat 2, clear to tower of the cursed 1 WP (can clear the 90% sure spawn elite nearby also) <- high mob density zone #4

WP back to bastion keep and END RUN, quit and resume.

6) OPTIONAL: stonefort for keywarden IF you still have any shrine buff time remaining, (enlightenment, fortune, or fleeting)

MY TIPS:

1) get max movement speed
2) use skills that helps you travel faster
3) farm in mp where you can kill things FASTEST WITHOUT DYING AT ALL
4) about looting:
- do not pick up everything you see on the ground
- do not purposely turn back to pick up something or gold pile
- only pick up ilvl 63 rares IF they fall right on your legs or on your way
5) get at least 5 yard pickup radius to suck in gold
6) NEVER waste time identifying your stuff during runs
7) if you ever get into a dead end, do not u turn. Teleport back and WP to the next WP on your farm route.

FACTS vs SUPERSTITIONS:

1) dying a lot does not decrease your chance at getting good drops or good rolls
2) higher mp does not increase the quality of the item affix rolls.
3) All items for ACT 3 can be ilvl63 starting from MP0. so if you can kill elites faster in mp0 than mp1, the obvious choice is mp0.
4) high MF does not guarantee you more legendary drops.
5) you get more chance to get legendary by killing more in the shortest time. for example, take each mob as a lottery ticket, the more you kill, the more chances you have in winning. if you do higher mp but kill slower, although your mf may be higher, you won't be getting as much drops in the same amount of time in lower mp.

BONUS CONTENT for Wizards:

2) for max traveling advantage, use archon with teleport. Storm armor with Scramble.
3) notice i don't have the usual teleport skill because 97% of the time i am in archon mode.
4) reset your archon once your armor/force weapon buff expires.
5) storm armor's proc can one shot almost anything so it's a good skill to have when u on the go, no need to care about those single lonely mobs.

yes, this is true for barb users. most of them may not find lower mp efficient because they kill mobs too fast, therefore could not generate enough fury. lol.... in this case, ur efficient mp is the one that keeps ur 'engine' going smoothly.

high mp got it's use also geh..... to farm keys and organs.... some just want to look themselves in the mirror and say "dayum, ur looking good!".... hahahhaa

im glad that my "Doodle's Route" is working for most of you guys... its really a good way to get the most out of the game within the shortest time possible.... as long as you continue to practice that routine, sooner or later sure will kena toto 6D also.... *fingers crossed*.... must catch the biggest fish in the sea.... LOL!!!

i usually solo.... that said, i pernah tried carrying some frens who are less than plvl 10 to help them power level... they just have to keep up with me and leech the xp... but of course, the farming duration will be slightly(just slightly) longer due to mobs hp increment.... ideally, i prefer solo because i can have all the mobs to myself, which is very important for a wizard to sustain archon form.... but regardless of classes, imo, farming solo is always more efficient compared to party... unless you are doing key/organ runs.


and ya, i do my fishing trips at mp1.

i did not say anywhere that storm armor damage is higher when in archon... i only said that my storm armor can one shot almost all mobs with a single lightning strike....

basically, farming IS grinding. you WILL get bored and exhausted... so how do you farm without getting that sien feeling? my way of doing it is, before i start, i set a target or goal for myself. my goal is simple, to up two paragon levels per farming session. then just farm until i hit my target, and stop it... can take a break, ID my loots, go play some di'AH'blo, or drink nescafe(btw, this is not scientifically proven to get more legend drops).....

im sure most of you will farm with the "i want to get X amount of legends tonite" mindset.... this will only add more pressure and stress to yourself, and make the session sien very fast...

if you dont think about it, and just focus on killing fast, once you get a drop you will get a nice surprise feeling and boost to continue farming. try it! hope it helps!

uhm... i think you should do one run in each mp and time yourself, also take note of the amount of xp u gained.... basically u want the better xp:time ratio.... if you can finish faster in mp0 and get the same amount of xp u get for 25min in mp1, then mp0 is the way to go. for me, the time i finish my run for both mp0 and mp1 is the same (20mins average) so i choose mp1 for the slight xp and mf bonus.

yes... more like a straight line farm. well, most of you already know im an archon wiz, so my guide is based around that build... that is why when i meet a dead end, like say in arreat craters, i do not u turn because every second counts when it comes to maintaining your archon form. U-turning back means spending 10-15 seconds just back tracking without killing anything and its a big NONO... it takes out the efficiency too. if you play long enough, you will start to get the feel of how the map has been randomly generated and you can avoid getting into dead ends.... maybe i will provide more indepth explanation regarding this with screenshots in another post...

for your next question, i do kill all the normal mobs... they are what fuels my archon up time. my legend drops comes from them as well as elites.... like i said, more kills = more chance to get drops....

another thing you all must understand is, my guide is to help you get more chances of drops within the shortest time you put in... but they are not 100% sure drop like 1 leg per run becos you have to factor in your MF and most importantly, LUCK. its a game of chances..... i myself also will get nothing for few consecutive runs... BUT, trust me, in the long run, you will get more drops via this farming method...
