QUOTE(rickysay @ Sep 2 2012, 09:20 PM) First time seeing Sterling playing reaction: Woaw! Arsene why u no.jpg sign him? When he first played against Man City last week. Everyone thought Rodgers had gone cuckoo. Instead, Sterling played the full 90 minutes and gave City's veteran defenders a hard time. He's blazing fast and very quick on his feet. His confidence against top class defenders really is amazing. I predict if he continue this form, he'll be the next star of EPL.

I was a tad worried when Vermaelen had some serious knock all over the field. But when he was subbed, I didn't realise how he is replaced by none other than Bosscielny. Haha...its like an equal if not a better sub.
God I missed him!

I'm still holding my opinion towards Diaby. It is just one game after all. He has been terrible for so long, one few good games haven't convince me his comparison to Viera, not for me anyway. Granted he had his good boots that night, that is what he should do as a AMF. No headers to be won, but his defensive duties are above par than usualy, which in turn helps the other players in functioning a bit better.
Until he can show a consistent Diaby similar to the Liverpool game, he is to me a gamble on certain games, especially against top teams with very strong midfields. Still hoping Wenger cam bring in someone new in this January for Song replacement.

The way I see it, Diaby is an excellent player, still got potentials and we have all seen that amazing spark a few seasons back when he was totally godlike. I just wonder is it perhaps how our manager used him or rather place him in the wrong position. I mean if we're talking about being consistent, Bacary Sagna is a shining example of that. There have been a few times when Sagna was below par, but that didn't show too much. But when Diaby sux, he really sux to the marrow! I mean when he dribbles and lose his ball, all of Arsenal's attack became pointless and all the sudden we're under counter attack. Perhaps that is a poor generalization but I'm just too lazy to find any video of that example. My point is that his mistakes is always similar up to a point where he makes it his signature moves to release the ball too late or dribble the ball back to the opponent or just shuffle his long legs around the ball until it goes down. And it doesn't help to point that the midfield areas is where Arsenal strength lies. A weak midfield makes for a weak team, and this somewhat true with team such as the Arsenal. Then something amazing happened last two games. He defended better, distributed the ball well, he didn't dribble as much or lose the ball as much. And when he hold his position well, everyone else performed better too. Arteta can focus on keeping the midfield tight and the defenders protected while Carzola, Podoski and Giroud can roam the forward freely waiting for that killer pass. Diaby became Shin Diaby. Still, I let the manager dictate how to use him in the next coming game. He just came back from a long injury and he is prone to rough tackles in certain features, so a backup is always decent what with Song's replacement is nowhere to be seen (no Diaby isn't Song's replacement) yet. I have lots of hope for Jack Wilshere, but only time will prove his worth in this new team post-RVP. I may have said before that Diaby should be sold, but only because I feel the manager is hesistant to buy a better MF due to Arsene's preference towards his beloved Diaby. But if the market doesn't offer anyone suited to Arsenal, then might as well keep him and let him grow. Who knows I may even have to eat my own words about him.

Although it might be far fetched, there is no denying that investing big money to bring in CR7 to the Emirates will worth every penny. if money really isn't an issue that is. But I'm sure being prudent and clever spending has always been Arsene Wenger's main philosophy. With that amount of money, he could probably get half of Barcelona's midfielders.

Funny reading comments about unsettling Barca. Funny situation indeed for all our ex Arsenal players. Not only we're famous as feeder club, but we're also famous for accepting our ex-players back at the Emirates. Henry played with us, Pires came to train with us, Sol played with us, umm....anyone I missed? You know, not all of our ex-players left and failed in their new clubs. A lot of them made it good. Anelka, Adebayor, Henry, Cole, Fabregas, etc. Of course us fans feel betrayed and angry. Its also common to place a curse and damnation upon their soul, but that's just football. Being a fan of a football club is truly a love+hate relationship. There's the up and down and the low point and the great success. Everything comes with fond memories of how we used to cheers for the players of the Arsenal. Apart from legendary players, I too admire true Arsenal fans who really show their adoration and love and loyalty towards the club. Total respect for them.

Lehmann and Szczęsny. That's a very potent mixture.
