Aside from 216 games and only notching 30 goals 29 assists as a winger (very poor stats), he's LARGELY inconsistent. He has taken too much time to develop with no end product at all, poor finishing, poor ball control and he can't even dribble. Everything that's left in him is his pitiful pace.

This is certainly no case of "because he's leaving, so he's bad", he IS already poor to begin with.

The problem is there's no give-him-some-time in BPL, it's a tight league where all the other opponents will eat you alive even if you loosen up just a bit. BPL is not a place for you to develop player, wanna do that, send them out on loan.

Defensively good for his many interceptions but not enough creativity. Look at Yaya Toure, great finishing and great bursting forward.

Let's be realistic, atm no one will be able to afford his price and wage... Maybe City/Chelsea but with FFP coming into action I don't think they will do so.

I think Wenger has settled on the safe side and learnt from what happened to MU that is not to underestimate your opponents. The main players will probably be subbed off though if we managed to nail the game by then.
