Hi everyone. Is it normal for an iPad 2 (Wifi only) battery to drain at the rate of 1% per 7 mins? (just normal internet browsing) 1) the ipad was bought in April 2012 from Machines JB. 2) the ipad was set to the lowest brightness and location services is switched off. 3) ping, fetch already set to off. 1% --> 7 minute 100% --> 700 minutes
700/60 = 11.67 hours !!
More than spec man ! Congrats !!

But then the brightness is set to the lowest, no location services, no ping, no fetch, and just normal browsing, not 3D gaming.
I think it was better before. Lately just realized the battery quite underperformed.
Huhu.

7 minutes with Wifi is consider good, even Apple already stated the battery can long last around 10 hours per full charge.

The spec already states you get up to 10 hours of usage.
> Up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music > Up to 9 hours of surfing the web using cellular data network
So, if you're getting that based on your observation, I don't see why this is an issue. Up to means whatever lowest possible settings you have set for your usage. So, imagine if every other settings are turned on with all notifications enabled. You will get lesser amount of usage time from a fully charged device.
