while im still thinking of my next front speakers should be, i wonder what others/sifus have been running currently/was running over the years

hope we can share our experience----

is it a 2-way/3way/single-driver/coaxials?
tweeter--soft dome/metal/horns/isodynamics/planar/ribbons?----tweeter location?
midrange----dome/cone ,driver size, location?
midbass---size, location, enclosure?
fully active/passives
using eq? no?
why do you settled with the current setup over previous ones?

depend on what you want to do.
i using buddy z5500
big bass.. of course below my table so that i can put my leg on it. laugh.gif
rear and front speaker angle doesn't really matter though, the important is the sound are balance.
might want to consider get a sound card.
you might need to think of the software side also other than hardware.

is it a 2-way/3way/single-driver/coaxials? - either 3 way or 4 way, single drivers
tweeter--soft dome/metal/horns/isodynamics/planar/ribbons?----tweeter location? - prefer soft dome, in A-panels
midrange----dome/cone ,driver size, location? - prefer soft dome, 4 inches, A panels too
midbass---size, location, enclosure? 6.5 inch to 8 inch, doors, use door as enclosure
fully active/passives - prefer full active
using eq? no? - use eq in processor or head unit, or the ones from audio control

Depending on your budget.. Usually the easiest setup is to focus on the front side of the car.

Then the HU is possible with Time Alignment.

Subwoofer is a must to complete the sound staging.

A good amplifier to last you a long time.

It has to be an enclosure.
Xover point vary for every combination, so it's really pointless to ask abt xover point of other ppl smile.gif

hope we can share our experience----

is it a 2-way/3way/single-driver/coaxials? 2 way split component set is good enough. 3 way split if you have the place to put the mid.
tweeter--soft dome/metal/horns/isodynamics/planar/ribbons?----tweeter location? soft dome good enough, more common, can be small, sounds warm. Location in the front corner either in the dash or the A-pillar, where ever can fit without much hasle.
midrange----dome/cone ,driver size, location? 4 inch cone, in the dash or door if going for 3 way split.
midbass---size, location, enclosure? 6-6.5inch in the doors.
fully active/passives? Active the best if you have the budget but for practicality many passive setup is already good enough.
using eq? no? Yes, from the HU
why do you settled with the current setup over previous ones? Budget and availability in the market, and can fit easily in the car without ruining/any modifications to the original panels/dash.
