Lucky you mentioned it. I am copying the exact same wording.
And i just log in my steam now, everything looks alright.
Seems like it is a scam mail.  rclxub.gif

Steam will never ask you to verify your email for no good reason. Unless you never verify your email with Steam, and you did request for an email verification.

If not, just delete everything you see, as most likely it will be a scam.

Shift 2 is pretty good if you do not mind to mod the living crap out of it. Planning to do that soon, but the process can be quite tedious.

Not waiting on Project C.A.R.S which is basically shift 3?
*
I have already pledge for it. It is getting better, but i think they still need some more real license for the tracks and cars.

And they do need to concentrate on the gameplay side of things, such as the pit to driver radio, pit stop, multiplayer and so on. Instead of just the graphics side which is already leaps and bounds better than Shift 2 despite it is a pre alpha game.

Still, they are doing the crowd funding development rather transparent and professional which is what i like about it. Maybe it is just better to make the art assets first, since it still can be used later on, than code whole lot of stuff first, then got dumped later on due to major feature changes.

Still, it is definitely not Shift 3 with shinier graphics. It is much much better in terms of handling and physics where i think it is a nice balance between Shift physics and full sims like iRacing or rFactor. There are quite a lot of hardcore sim fans backing it with lots of money, so they definitely trying to whack it till it plays very much like a real sim.

Not to forget they have Ben Collins who used to the Stig in Top Gear as a consultant for the car physics.

when did they do the kickstarter? I must have missed it  sad.gif
*
Their funding is still open, at least for now. You can play the game, once you pledge for it but expect the game to be buggy as it is still a work in progress.

You can find out more here: http://www.wmdportal.com/

It has been 1 year since they started doing crowd funding, even before kickstarter is cool. Here is their 1 year anniversary video.

thanks.. I'll have look.. haven not played racing games for long time.. now jus replay play dirt2 for the first time  laugh.gif

I hope i dont put you off, but this game isnt gonna be as easy to play as Dirt 2.

I can barely complete a lap without crashing into a wall or car till now, but it is very satisfying when you get it right.

more precision driving kind like forza?
I typically sux at those.. sweat.gif

I actually find it much more precision driving than Forza. Forza is easy, even on Hard level compared to pCARS's Medium physics.

Well, you need practice, to be honest, but once you got it, the game is actually fun. Much more than Forza.

L4D2 is enough as it has all the content of L4D1. Unless you want L4D1 for collection.

Anyone noticed their "All Games" in their steam number will decrease?
On Sat/Sun i checked, i have 400 games, yesterday i check 399, and today i checked 398.
Anything fishy going on?
*
It is because Rock of Ages and Left for Dead 2 were on Free Weekend.

but there are plenty of steamworks steam powered games so putting all those games into its own sub forum is a good move i say.
*
That will be even more frustrating cause not all games are Steamworks. There are a lot of indie games that uses both Steamworks, Desura, Origin and DRM Free. How would you even classify that properly without duplicated threads in both the general and Steam forums?

Unless the new forum is a digital distribution related forum, if not, it is useless and confusing. I dont know why low yat mods loves opening subforums, as low yat rarely have that much traffic to the point you need a dedicated subforum for something.

Call of Duty, Warcraft, Starcraft subforums are mostly dead these days, while Diablo or Guild Wars arent as active as it was during release.

question...does AC2 onwards require uplay to launch??? even the one on steam??
*
I dont really find Uplay to be a nuisance as it is pretty much similar to launchers used in other games like Human Revolution.

The logging in bit is alright, as if you can login to Steam, you can login to Uplay.
