CYBERJAYA is now brimming with commercial and residential projects.
Residents in the surrounding areas can look forward to more living, dining, leisure and entertainment opportunities in the township after the development is completed. The township houses over 300 commercial outlets which could double by the end of the year.
This is to cater to demand from the influx of highly skilled workers and the growing student population.
Cyberview Sdn Bhd managing director Hafidz Hashim said the city has many food outlets now. ”Gone are the days when it was difficult to find good eateries in Cyberjaya. We are now spoilt for choice,” he said. Hafidz’s favourite eatery is a popular Lebanese restaurant called Saba in Jalan Perdana, CBD Perdana. He also frequents Nyonya Valley at Cyberview Garden. He said eateries and other retail businesses are important for working and young adults.
Cyberjaya also has drive-through and dine-in outlets — Starbucks at Prima Avenue and Burger King at Prima 11.
The township is also fast developing with self-sustaining lifestyle developments that comprise retail, residential, hotel and entertainment outlets. Developers are also competing to provide the latest, best and most environmental-friendly services. The project by Dpulze Ventures Sdn Bhd, Suites @ D’Pulze, comprises dining, entertainment and leisure outlets. A multi-screen cineplex, karaoke, gym and spa centres will also be located here.
Residents can live in style surrounded by greenery. Service apartments, hotels and corporate offices are also part of this development. Close to Limkokwing University, the Sky Park@Cyberjaya project by MCT Consortium consists of residential, office, hotel and mall projects. Some of the service apartments will be built with eco-friendly facilities that cater to the needs of students and young working adults.
The buildings here will also be connected to a breathtaking sky park to promote healthy living.
An ambitious project called Pangea@Cyberjaya will house boutique retail offices, residences and shopping malls. Pangea means “super continent”, and the project hopes to live up to its name. Glomac Cyberjaya is another development. The freehold property is designed to become the ideal commercial destination and an investment opportunity.
It is strategically located along Persiaran Apec, and surrounded by multinational corporations such as HSBC, Ericsson, IBM and DHL
The development consists of more than 100 units of commercial outlets with a modern, cosmopolitan facade.
It also presents a wider range of investment opportunities that are ideally suited for small- to medium-sized businesses that are seeking a stylish business address in the heart of Cyberjaya.
With a land area of almost 2,838ha, Cyberjaya is a fully integrated city that aspires to be known as our very own Silicon Valley. Cyberview Sdn Bhd has also transformed the township into the country’s premier cybercity.
Currently, there are over 600 companies comprising 35 multinational companies, seven prestigious higher learning institutions and various premier schools. It has a population of 52,000. Cyberjaya will also be celebrating its 15th anniversary since it was conceived by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir.
“Cyberjaya has since grown by leaps and bounds.
“It has matured and there is a sense of excitement as the city grows,” said Hafidz.
He said government’s initiatives such as the Greater Kuala Lumpur plan had also triggered tremendous interest among private sector investors. The plan will see Cyberjaya morphing into a thriving, lively and economically vibrant mega-metropolis equivalent to any other metropolis in the world. Cyberjaya also aims to be among the top 20 most liveable cities in the world by 2020.
“Cyberview Sdn Bhd will continue to add value to the township and strive to make it an ideal location to live, study, work and play,” said Hafidz.
