There was an interview over BFM this morning with the MD (I Think) of Cyberview, the Govt owned landowner of Cyberjaya at 92% stake with the remaining 8% with PNB & etc. Although I knew Setia Haruman to be the Master Developer, I didn't know they weren't the land owner.
Additional info in case some are unaware. He shared his visions of how CBJ can emulate other successful Silicon Valleys and even mentioned that during his recent visit to California, the Silicon Valley kick started all the way back from the 1940s. And a lot of the industry players there were from different origins, not necessarily Americans, although now they probably are. He stresses on the need for CBJ to attract more professionals & engineers for a higher quality R&D Hub to be established in CBJ.
From the brief interview which I heard for a mere 10-15 mins, I am glad someone is taking a hands on approach in taking CBJ further ahead. He noted 4 major stakeholders in CBJ - Cyberview being the land owner, Setia Haruman being the Master Developer, Majlis Pernbandaran Sepang being the Local Council and AMDEC (or something like that) as the body to attract foreign investors to set up their hubs in CBJ.
