cyberjaya will sustain if there are more IT companies coming and staying. With recent economic slowdown, it actually a boost for msian IT market. many world class data centres are being closed down and relocated to cyberjaya.

it should sustain for next 5-10 years and I dont forsee any major changes in the IT market. also alot of migration even foreigners from australia, european are coming down to work in this industry in msia.

my take as I've been in this industry for past 12 yrs. so should be a value for property if you have many working professionals in cyberjaya looking for a close residence

KUALA LUMPUR: The RM1.23 billion intra-city rail line for Iskandar Malaysia in Johor, as proposed by a private party, will be scrapped, said people with first hand knowledge on the matter.
This is because the government wants to focus on the high-speed rail system linking Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, which will likely
have a stop in Iskandar Malaysia, and the Rapid Transit System from Johor Baru to Woodlands, Singapore.

“It does not make sense to have too many railway lines in Johor.

It will be congested. We also have the Gemas-Johor Baru double-tracking project coming up,” a source told Business Times.

Metropolitan Commuter Network (MCN), a 60:40 joint venture between Malaysia Steel Works (KL) Bhd (Masteel) and KUB Malaysia
Bhd, had proposed to build the intra-city rail project.

The joint venture first mooted the idea in 2009.

Under the plan, MCN was to build a 30km double-track railway line linking Kulai and Johor Baru city centre and a 50km link between Pasir Gudang and Port of Tanjung Pelepas using the existing alignment.

The development of the railway line would be similar to the concept undertaken by Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd for its light rail transit project in the Klang Valley.

The source said the MCN proposal was not approved by the Transport Ministry and Minister of Finance Inc.

“This project is not part and parcel of the government plan to develop the railway infrastructure in Malaysia,” the source said.

It was also to have come under the publicprivate partnership scheme, where both parties fund the venture.

Masteel managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Tai Hean Leng had said MCN would invest RM300 million to carry out the project, with the remaining RM700 million coming in the form of a government “soft loan”.

MCN expected to pay the government the RM700 million over an agreed duration, Tai said.

He also said then the company had not obtained full approval to undertake the project.

Except Bangi and Cyberjaya, all the named areas has a clear a d distinct "township" development carried out by prominent developer, I strony believe that sustaintable "township" development with at least 500 acres will generate high appreciation.
Cyberjaya is yet to hv a "single" township like Setia Alam

yes bros. recently my company move to cyberjaya from US. and brought to malaysia almost 1000 jobs.

so i guess their loss is our gain. sad but this is the global direction.

Also Cyberjaya is taking back the projects once been given to India as they(no offense) are very bad when comes to managing IT Enteprise solutions.

so yea i see more jobs oppurtunity here in cyberjaya, hopefully in return will boost its property value.

Wish government will concentrate on Putrajaya & Cyberjaya development...

First, move all embassies to Putrajaya.

Once there are more housing completed. More ppls working in cyber will stay near to office. Population will grow. Just a matter if time. Nxt one to VP is serin residency.

Many places have, but prepare to pay RM 3+ M to RM 4+ M, u pay only RM 2+ M mah.

We pay RM 1+ M @ Eco Glades, same house RM 2+ M @ Desa ParkCity bah.

Success of Cyberjaya will become a city, not a township.

Tell me which township outside of Cyberjaya offers this kind of housing, I will go buy it.

ya... i think previously most of the local company like to outsource the IT service to global company based in US or INDIA.... but the efficiency is not there and they not familiar with our local requirement... thus, now all the big company like Shell or Exxon no more outsource but use internal or local company to provide the service....
