Just upgraded to RS-PRO brake hose... Totally worth it. No more spongy feeling and constant brake pressure.
Anybody using pumatec ceramic 500c over here?

QUOTE(Max @ Jan 2 2013, 04:13 PM) actually after changing brake hose, u will feel firmer brake bcoz bleeding has been done after changing the hose. Yeah that's actually a good suggestion.stock hose is good enough for normal use. anybody have spongy brake can try do bleeding 1st.. it will remove bubbles in brake lines. but, if u have the money.. can change the hose n bleeding 1 shot.. I do bleeding/top up everytime I service my car at 10K interval and flushing at 40K, so I'd assume I'm accustomed to the feel after bleeding. Under hard braking, trust me it's really that much better bro. Next up is brake pads. MKT has warped my disc not once but twice |

QUOTE(eastwest @ Jan 3 2013, 05:33 PM) Hope you can get an idea whats "spongy" feeling means. Added on January 4, 2013, 4:20 pm QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Jan 4 2013, 08:17 AM) Header? For u auto trans better opt 4-2-1 setup coz u dont want lousy2 low end, 4-1 only match with manual trans as far i know la.. Bro, where and how your service your ABS? must clean the sensor and pump?Btw my rm500 4-2-1 header cannot beat rm100 4-1 header. Go figure huhu.. If use bigger/wide rim it shouldnt made abs kong faster, neglected maintenance do. Some say luck too. 1 time i see waja with 225/50/16, it really wide. If play with body kit it sure will make the car look very european. yeap, samurai x pls attend tt for further discussion. QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Jan 4 2013, 07:39 PM) Actually i dont really service the ABS pump, what i do is always flush & change brake oil following recommendation interval. The sensor usually clean it with air gun but when got faulty..but for preventive maintenance i never do. Ah okay, I'm doing the same. Never touched the sensor before, but usually during service I check for any error message from ECU, non so far. Added on January 5, 2013, 11:04 pm QUOTE(uk9089 @ Jan 5 2013, 01:21 AM) im going to service my waja cps 45k millage. before that im using semi syn since start. now i plan to use full syn. what type of engine oil the best for pick up or engine noise reduce or smooth ride? money is not a problem just want to make sure its compatible with my waja cps. I'm no sifu but I can share what I've personally experienced on my Gen 2 CPS.i will change ever 5k millage and will start using full syn starting now. is there any difference if using full syn now? is it too late? any advice sifu2 sekalian? thank you. Heavier oil - 40 & 50 - smoother engine/engine noise dampening... when using 50 actually my top speed was reduced by 11km/h Lighter oil - 30 - lighter engine/quicker response and better mileage. my manual recommends 30 but I'm using syntium 3000 40... which I feel is nicely balanced. generally Fully Synthetic will keep the engine very clean, since money is not an issue for you then how about Mobil 1. So finally I have upgraded my brake servo and masterpump. Has been 2 weeks and in my opinion rather than slotted disc which I paid 300+ this mod is well worth the money for which I paid the same sum. The improvement is simply astounding.
Didn't manage to take pics during installation, but tomorrow will post some technicals, finished pic and cost. With that I have my stock gen 2 cps stock servo and master pump for sale. Plug n play for gen 2 1.3 |

Hi all,
Sorry today ended up servicing car so didn't have time to post details. Will do so within these few days. QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Jan 24 2014, 01:09 AM) Waiting your outcome. you did changed to RS-PRO brake hoses last year, still not satisfy the brake system? AFAIK, Brake Master Cylinder Assembly got ABS or non-ABS version and also MT or AT version, if the car is equipped with ABS System, it must replace by ABS Brake Master Cylinder Assembly, or else the ABS System won't be functioning as it should. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Yeah I did RS-PRO brake hose and then i did slotted disc... still wasn't satisfied. Almost went with retrofit 4 pot (cos the cost is same as twin pot). But luckily did the servo upgrade. Think my brakes are perfect nw... At least till I go forced induction one day QUOTE(Max @ Jan 24 2014, 09:05 AM) i think brake servo+pump wont effect ABS system. Yeah no effect on ABS as its a separate downstream unit.ABS is on separate module and regulate braking pressure to caliper by monitoring the tyre movement based on the ABS sensor and ABS ECU. the pump just provide oil pressure based on ur paddle stepping pressure. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(fazron80 @ Jan 24 2014, 04:55 PM) I used Honda ek virs servo and master pump. Actually few other models will fit a gen2 cps but each with pro and cons. Ek virs Pro: no need to knock strut tower area , Cons: brake fluid pot really tight fit with the strut tower area and if manual car need separate pot for clutch pump. QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Jan 25 2014, 12:07 AM) There must be a reason Proton come out different type of Master Cylinder for ABS or Non-ABS mah. Based on this pic the difference is the master pump piston size. 1.3 is front disc rear drum, 1.6 is all disc hence the larger master pumpSame goes to Campro Spark Plug cables, Campro Standard and Campro CPS is using different model. What I only can think of is different type of brake master cylinder + brake servo is to provide different pressure rate gua. [attachmentid=3830486] Since ABS functionality is control by ABS ECU module. Hmm.. I also wonder which other type of brake servo able to fit our car without much modification. QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Jan 25 2014, 12:15 AM) Speak about feeling of CPS activate, Really? Why?I guess Gen2 CPS won't have much obvious feeling like Satria Neo and Waja CPS, But the engine smooth after 2800rpm memang great.. I remember one of the forumer mentioned it before last time, And I do agreed on that. |

QUOTE(Max @ Jan 25 2014, 12:31 AM) looks like 1.6 got bigger master pump. Btw you guys can visit Zordaq Motorsport in Shah Alam. They do offer Nissan servo. Cons for Nissan servo the strut tower area has to be knocked to fit the double layer servo (based on the mechanic).if anyone can compare 1.6 model master pump between ABS and NON-ABS pump size will be great.. but i have feeling it will be the same size. edit: yep same size.. S.NEO [attachmentid=3830544] from what i heard/read, nissan/evo double layer can fit into persona/gen2. maybe can fit in NEO too? nissan got 2 type master pump, single and double. double master pump. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « for ABS bleeding might need PDT tools. Think you meant double layer servo. All master pump these days are double piston as a safety feature, one piston to front and one piston to rear, in case one piston fails u can still stop the car. The servo (black cylindrical thingy) has single layer and double layer(thicker cylinder). Comparatively speaking double is better. Changing master pump doesn't require ABS bleeding, unless you change ABS unit as well because ABS valves are always open. At least in the case of gen2 cps. |
