In short, the question is what caused the engine check light turn on at >3.5k rpm... hmm...tricky.
Proton SC did not try to reset the ecu?
I think you have to search for the causes of engine check light turn on and pinpoint the closest one which related to your problem.
Even a wrongly clean up throttle body can caused the engine check light to turn on sweat.gif

Thanks for sharing.
Wah! Proton ori spark plug is so expensive. I can buy brisk spark plug already.

You get your car done in PESC Desa Tun Razak?
Just curios, error code B1003-41 is a symptom of clock spring almost end of life span?

CPS really need to whack? Last time I always rev '99' engine feels very light. Now I drive mostly below 100km/h.
When I try to push over 4k rpm, car feel sluggish. Maybe ECU become lazy. Just service with 10w-40 Eneos some more sweat.gif

I just DIY installing oil catch tank connecting the PCV. During idle, car got hissing sound. Idle rpm also 920. Is this normal idle
rpm for CPS?

During high rev, OCT help to catch the excessive engine oil which come out from the pcv valve to manifold. This will keep the intake manifold clean.
If you stand in front of the car, PCV hose is located at the left side of the engine head. The right side with bigger hose is breather which go back into
air intake. I am planning to install 2 oil catch tank and see how is it laugh.gif
Will post the picture soon as I am still learning the Campro CPS engine.

To those like to DIY, here is the OCT (hidden laugh.gif ) picture with text. Lol tongue.gif . I positioned the OCT further as there is the nice place. less heat.
The PCV valve in black text. Can use 9mm fuel hose from PCV valve to OCT as the valve outlet is quite big.
While from OCT to intake manifold, can use 8mm fuel hose as the intake connection is smaller sweat.gif

For the bonnet activated LED, can tap (-) line from bonnet sensor (green wire)while the (+) one (red) from battery terminal. Make sure to use relay with 5a fuse.

The PCV valve is connected to intake manifold by a single hose . You just put the OCT in between with the same hose connection.
Since your airbox is removed, it will be easier to install OCT.
IMO, the air intake on stock Waja CPS is smaller, other than proper open pod setup, the other way is to get a bigger air intake to replace the stock one or create a hole on the stock air intake before the air turbulence part and make way for mini CAI. This will add the amount of cool air into tongue.gif

The stock airbox got one small reserve airbox but too small to notice.
Me planning to tebuk' the original air intake and route something to it.

Overhaul does not go with mileage but driving style. I think so la.
Engine leaking, blown gasket or internal problem. A friend go for major
when his mileage is 78k. Another few friend already cover more than 220k and not even top overhaul yet.....lol

gatal2 tny bengkel brp kos overhaul 2k-3k. terus xnak pikir. last year check for piston compression still ok. nothing leaking.  but powerzone shah alam really charge cekik darah. top overhaul what they change bro samurai x.
*
Top overhaul set x sampai 500 hengget ponn.
Standard top overhaul set includes new piston rings, main bearing, conrod bearings and valve seal. I think la.
valve grinding to get rid of carbon deposit and piston cleaning is standard in rm1k price.
"Branded' bengkel like Powerzone or those in Sunway area usually charge high price due to prestige mah.... tongue.gif
Maybe can ask Bernard @ Maddriver on overhaul as he is an expert thumbup.gif

Just now rev to 6k, gear slip on auto transmission is bad sweat.gif
Me plan to DIY installing ATF cooler soon.

This afternoon wanna try open both fog lamp which is broken & replace it with CAI funnel for future modification...any of u guy have pointer or things i should look up?

thanks
*
Err...my advise, keep the fog lamp intact or replace with working unit. It will be useful to compensate during thick fog or heavy rain where high beam and white HID cannot shine through. The day went to Cameron, lucky the fog light is yellowish as HID s*** doh.gif
Better to route from side as lesser dust, mud and water. Its the quality of air that matter tongue.gif
Rasa cam nak guna oil funnel ala2 CAI masuk air intake. Dah ada filter tu wei laugh.gif

Belting owner lama dah tukar tahun 2011. X de slip saja gatal tangan gi spray sebab kering sangat. Sekarang kete rasa ringan semacam.
Air-cond fan motor baru siap DIY. Tukar APM brand. Bunyi berdengung macam Exora. Dah kena buka radiator hose kat atas tu service radiator sekali. Masuk Toyota coolant.

Next DIY project : ATF cooler. Tadi dah intai kat radiator area, ada slot
untuk mount ATF cooler.
