Serious meh?

Yes. Gearbox mounting is half bad but left and right engine mounting still okay.
Front door already DIY with lousy insulation. Air-con still on at level 1. Stock HU level 12
still able to listen to Somewhere Only We Know....lol.

ajaibman
Noise insulation on doors and panel will increased travel comfort. And better audio experience too.
Me just started with lousy noise insulation stuff.

Never heard of the brand before hmm.gif
Me planning to try Mitsubishi soon.

Azuma-kun
Search for Speed Art in Mudah or try BK Motorsports and G Car Care.

Hmmm DIY sound proofing sound interesting. Me also did cheapo on rear bonet & it works cancelled out my n1 exhaust sound. But not that much la..reduce around 10-15% max.
*
Me only started door DIY. You will not believe the different made by double side tape, good quality plastic and cheap aluminium sheet from Daiso.
Total damaged on 2 front door = RM30 laugh.gif but much less sound intrusion from the used to be hollow door. Also no more tyres roar sound from side brows.gif .
Next will be adding another layer of dynamat. One with aluminium cover.

carrera_gt
K&N drop in and Exhaust work will be just fine.

No problem. You buy all the stuffs, bring your car to my parking slot bawah pokok and I get it done. Your place got a lot of mosquito laugh.gif
Actually, I was thinking, since the layer is made of plastic, it will be okay to cover the holes with cheap plastic as cheaper and easier
to remove also. Didn't know the result is okay. But Passenger door got vibration as I pushed the wiring connector too close to
door panel without padding. Driver side got padding so no vibration.

Cheap aluminium sheet as another layer after covering the respective hole with thick plastic as I noticed there are water drop marks going in. Plastic is waterproof but don't choose the thick and shining plastic as it cannot withstand the heat.
Expensive soundproofing material is more suitable to to put inside as it will not trap water and moist.

eastwest
A rubber material with glue which already cut into pieces cost RM1.90 bought from Mr.DIY laugh.gif
Just nice to absorb the vibration when the connectors are pressed too close to door or panel.

ThienWu
Forgot to take picture la. Will take some picture when I got time to works on Azuma's ride.
My basic understanding is, by covering the respective holes, lesser noise intrusion go through the door as original material by Proton only consist of cheap plastic with bitumen. I went just a step further by covering the individual holes with plastic, a layer of aluminium sheet and then put back the original smile.gif .
Can't expect much from RM30 worth of DIY on 2 doors laugh.gif
Now listening to Jian Ji Dao Di by A-Du offer slightly better experience brows.gif

Double side tape, thick plastic, rubber padding and bitumen with aluminium layer bought from Mr.DIY@Carrefour Axis.
Aluminium sheet and another plastic sheet from Jusco Maluri Daiso. Almost take the plastic with Hello Kitty printing laugh.gif

RE001 and RE002 is good for touge. PS3 grip and traction is better than the 2 but sidewall got add sikit tofu that is why
PS3 not suitable for hard touge. Certain batch of PS3 got tread peel off issue also.

Low profile PS3 is good in high speed straight but still kembang during corners. Unless pump 4 -5 psi higher.
Veyron is using special built run flat Pilot Super Sport la unsure.gif . PS3's speed index cannot match Veyron's top speed also laugh.gif

how abt pirelli?
heard it is expensive as hell..
*
Tarak ada chance to whack Pirelli as about 3 years ago, me bought a defect new P7000 sweat.gif .
Tyres wobbles during fast corner which is hard to explained. Cannot claim warranty as shop insisted tyre is perfect.
They offer to take back the tyre (845km mileaga) at 30% discount and I change to S-Drive.
Never bother about Pirelli after that.

Apsal demo x tukaq ke pu bushes? bergetah beb! brows.gif

penpal_my
Front is the dashboard vibration which is quite annoying. Need to put padding. Changing to new lower arm bushes and new absorber can settle the problem as bushes and absorber can absorb the vibration.
The rear could be bushing or absorber problem.

Mine now even the passenger headrest area got vibration sound. I didn't know the CPS qc is worst than the old 4g18. Or maybe because
I inherit a bad condition car sweat.gif as my previous 4G18 never had vibration or squeaking problem for more than 8 years. There is rat sound which gone after change rear arm link.
