Campro weak link are the block and bearing actually. A lot of bad cases happened. I think its because the bearing is not properly done.
I once watch a Campro install with high cam in my foreman's workshop, bearing surface is so rough I guess after much high revving driving, it will eventually wear out(haus) and snap TripleJ104 I will pay a visit to Andy's shop in Sunway. If okay, maybe we can bulk as me also never rev my car beyond 5k rpm yet due to above issue. Rugi wei Campro CPS x tarik. Azuma-kun lain citer ler kat traffic jam pun selamba tarik 6k rpm I think my mounting also need to change already as when CPS buka henjen berdengung lebih. |

Good engine oil and service on time cuma melambatkan kadar 'kehausan' bearing tu
Kalo demo tengok bearing Campro terutama batch yang problematic tu, surface kasar semacam. Dah join pun nampak disjointed. Ari2 hi rev, bearing haus' tu yang snap. Part electrical dengan fc effect kawe x sure tapi bila alternator, distributor and spark plug kena grounding, kete rasa placebo ringan Nak ringan lagi amik cable baik punya tap battery (-) ke alternator (-). Make sure ada relay atau fuse (kawe guna audio fuse box) ala2 Guangdao PC. Grounding cap ayam x leh pakai. confirm cair. lepas pasang GC, (DIY VS x siap lagi. ni tengak cari high capacity capacitor and kopak Pivot celup nak amik voltage indicator dia Campro CPS auto average FC dalam 0.17sen/liter or 11.2km/l (RM90 Ron95 cover dalam 530km). Tu pun kadang tarik 4.5k rpm. 80% city drive. Pre GC fc 0.20sen/liter or 9.5km/l. Condition sama. Kira berbaloi juga DIY GC mahal2 ni |

QUOTE(h4dRi @ Mar 2 2013, 03:41 PM) Kalo x silap angkat top jer. Block & piston x sentuh. Ari tu dah tengok kat bengkel.QUOTE(chipotato @ Mar 2 2013, 06:39 PM) If not mistaken, azuma used liqui moly engine oil, i think its same that kobe use (correct me if im wrong).. maybe liqui moly not suitable for campro engine.. I don't think so Liqui-Moly is the culprit as I know few other 2010 CPS manual red liners using the same engine oil. So far no issue. It's just that certain batch of Campro CPS has the crankshaft bearing problem bearing and caused it to snap faster. Other than changing to aftermarket parts, maybe thicker oil can give more protection for red liners |

Kawe dah check, D1 spec tu kira ok daa....x de ler haluuuus sangat QUOTE(lowpro @ Mar 5 2013, 09:51 PM) can you guys feel any difference between a works engineering simota drop in air filter vs a k&n drop in filter? Not sure if you referring to Simota ss mesh or one with woven. I have used both. K&N return a more bassy engine sound whileWorks Engineering aka Simota return slightly hollow sound. You need to have a trained ears to really differentiate it. Performance wise, both are almost equal. |

K&N is definitely better than Simota blue. More so when we DIY washing and using non standard oil as stock K&N has better dust filtering compare to thinner woven material on Simota.
Avoid air filer with 100% stainless steel mesh. |

Evil Oracle
Tukar extractor bunyi x bising. Beza dia instantly rasa. Kalo bising, demo tambah midbox. About the tuning, piggyback is still the best bet. Else, buy a throttle controller to fool the ECU much earlier than you foot does ECU will eventually learn and adapt to your driving style but here is a catch: It's good to have the ECU and TB tuned to match your aggressive style as it will adapt much longer. The moment you wanted to drive leisurely, ECU learn slowbai way and aggressive setting gone! Pivot VS is too common. Demo cari Hot Inazma halfcut jer. Price still around RM2xx but it worth it. Kawe tengah DIY VS ni dah 2 bulan x siap2 lg. Guys, anyone has an idea of any shop selling hydrogen generator? Not gonna DIY as housing is important. |

Kawe dulu dah banyak kali swap setup. 4-2-1 town drive cantekkk. 4-1 dup dup dah sampai top speed. |

QUOTE(ajaibman @ Mar 11 2013, 08:38 PM) Last tested 131 HP and 167 nm Torque.. too much power loss on the Auto Trans.. but now the power are more linear, much torque came earlier, CPS opened @ 2300 by adjust the timing advance using the ACP+Piggy Power output is decent for Campro CPS |

QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Mar 13 2013, 12:29 AM) Waja cps manual I think is best match with 4-1 headers.. Tested on my previous 4G18. Its a same case with auto. You lose acceleration on 4-1 at lower speed. Lethargic all the way to 130km/h. After that, the speedometer goes like vtec... Auto need 4-2-1 IMO.. Done drag race with mutt, my car (R3 4-2-1 headers) lost miserably with his ride (4-1 headers). Only can side by side til 3rd gear but above 140kmj I cannot catch up, outta breath ady. With 4-2-1 Hotbits, accelerating is a breeze but after 140km/h, it takes forever to reach top speed....lol. Best I ever use on 4G18 auto is 4-1 tonnka header with Everco piping. De-cat and added 1 midbox. Stock pipe after midbox to muffler.... lol. With local made big pnp Wegow twintip which is up for sale now. I can run side by side with Myvi 1.5 manual on acceleration, and running ahead from 140km/h onwards. Maybe partly due to the usage of GSR tb and ACL stuff inside back then Some people pay thousands for tuned length and size exhaust setup. Some other just 'rojak' and save cost here and there.....some more DIY installing the muffler |

QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Mar 13 2013, 08:58 AM) ha ah bang, 4-2-1 really slow after 160kmj. But i rarely drive top speed everytime at hiway. Just for short burst of adrenalin sometime hehe.. Tonnka header alone cost a bomb already. Decent mod as can't expect much from 1.6 SOHC NA with heavy body without block rebore.Tp Bro samurai x 4g18 really NA monster browsing tonnka fb page...drool weh Top name drifter mod their car here i see.. Already demode the car and let my other half drive it sedately. Imagine how reliable is a well taken care of 4G18 auto with everyday revving to 6.5k rpm...lol. Campro CPS is a little bit 'fragile' to my liking. That is why I prefer to keep it stock QUOTE(ajaibman @ Mar 13 2013, 04:31 PM) Speaking of the Devil, I think we all have the fair share of "MYVI" personality disorder, that the driver think they drive a Ferrari + emergency vehicle that entitle them to have the right of way on the road. Most of us are driving sedately but I too, noticed, its either the likes of Myvi or Vios which will be tailgating so close behind. No offence to the contented driver and owner of MYVI, but just that its insane to see the amount of wankers that suffered from the disorder above in Malaysia. |

Me drive auto car always kena smoke la My plan is to keep everything stock and had the crankshaft, conrod and bearing replaced. But finding the right one is a real headache Will pay a visit at BK Motorsports when I have time fazron80 Me good driver so just let them pass. On many occasion, I have come across so many rushing drivers zig zag during the traffic rush, only to catch up with them at next traffic light One time, a lady driver in Myvi suddenly cut from the left without signal I have to honk at her. Next thing I saw entering the parking slot next to me while I am enjoying my McD takeaway. You should see her expression when she saw me reach there long before her Point : Enjoy the ride and back lane can be a good shortcut. I hate road hoggers and lousy tailgaters(they tailgate your in straight and drive like turtle in corners). |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ Mar 16 2013, 02:13 AM) Being smoked by a VW Golf GTi (car plate WXG8880) gao gao after NPE toll toward Kuchai Lama yesterday morning , hahahaha. LOL...That is my point. No matter what car and how fast people drive (unless open road or track), we will eventually catch up with them.i'm not intend to challenge him/her also since i'm on relaxing mode, haha. perhaps he/she just wanna get rid of me follow behind, but GTi sudden sprint memang best. Eventually he/she just in front of me during morning heavy traffic jam at Sg Besi Road btw the smoke damn fresh to smell... hahahahaha. This especially during rush hour Last thursday at Jalan Cheras to Pudu new flyover, road quite jam. As I come from Viva Homes area, I try to squeeze in to Jalan Cheras with signal but a black Altis just doesn't let me in. I have to enter Jalan Chan Sow Lin and turn taxi style towards Pudu roundabout. The moment I reach the U-turn behind Times Square, the same black Altis(with side sticker) trying to enter into main road from Shaw Parade area but I didn't let him in. A reverse situation which we face almost daily |

QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Mar 18 2013, 01:19 PM) One of the fuel saving technique Just check service reminder stick i had drive over 2k km Another friend driving CPS manual also mentioned engine behave the same at 1k km and 6k km covered. Which brand of 5W-40 you are using? I removed the thick carpet and tested ride to the limit on empty road yesterday. CPS auto gearing is so ghey it takes forever for the speedometer to max out running on 205/45/16. RPM close to 5k. The only bonus is no floating sensation and feel like 140km/h at that speed Engine noise intrusion is fine even with bad mounting. I still able to listen to Keane's at volume level of 12 |
