hey....man...the d600 is really tempting...i am wondering in terms of the ergonomics...which would have a better grip?

would really like some side by side comparison of d600 and d800...hehehe...any d690 users now?

tempting for sure...
main reason for me to switch from d700 to d600 is video capability...
the lighter weight is just a bonus for me...

I've had the D600 for just over a week now. Shooting with it has been a joy! AF is accurate, AWB is bloody accurate and the cleanliness of the images at ISO6400 never fails to bring a smile on my face. Well today, i dropped by beloved D600. The LCD protector took the impact and cracked, while my battery door fell off!!! Luckily the door itself is not damaged and simply clicks back in place..... smile.gif

ooo...durable stuff! how much you got yours?

dunno, at least i believe previewing and zooming using EVF to evaluate is much less convenient but useful under bright sunlight. so i can only imagine under normal situation previewing with LCD is the norm. maybe EVF just ain't so reliable for most people (wouldn't trust the color on OMD EVF either, to be frank).

might keep the J1 for rough situation or video'ing during gigs to build profile, since 2nd hand value sudah gone. biggrin.gif
the promo price is already official, everywhere selling RM1299 for kit lens and RM1899 for twin zoom lens. i probably won't be bothered with the nikon roadshow as the shop where i bought my J1 got *very* special price (more than RM200 off for twin lens), don't think they'll going to beat that? hmm.gif brows.gif

...and again i hope i did not get a lemon, or i'll need to bug the nikon to fix the color profile in the firmware (if it's ever possible).
