Here it is,

I am going to graduate on this january. I am really interested to work in OnG

The problem is, how to properly choose the kind of work in this field. Engineering area seems to be very vast. I don't know where to start with.

The most important question is, is it hard to get a job in this field? Tqvm

guys. i just got accepted for job in Sempurna Engineering. feeling so happy now haha. but my question is:

my starting pay, the hr said : RM1.8k. i wonder how low it is. but then it is ok for a start. just get all the experience and perform well in work.

another one is, technical assistant. i wonder how its different than field engineer. its stated like technical assistant/field engineer. means both the same is it?

The market rate for a Fresh Graduate Engineer (B.Degree) is something around
2.5k-3.5k for normal market, of course there is higher range like 3k+ - 5k+ for major O&G player
so mayb u're under pay if for engineer, if ur title is technician then mayb that the range ?

just my opinion

yeah i know its too low. maybe i just need to perform well since i have no working experience. the HR mentioned about raise if i perform. sad.gif

if i take it positively, i am among the earliest of my engineering batch getting a job. not much of my friends got it yet. so better for me to be grateful icon_rolleyes.gif nod.gif

Well, yeah, if money is not a big matter for u is good to earn some experience at this stage.
but being the earliest to secure a job doesn't mean anything la, many of my friend apply job later than me , get job almst 3months later than me get in to Shell, Slb ,hallburton etc... while me just envying them sad.gif  . but im fine with my job now haha

did u try apply for others comp as well ? mayb u can try apply more and c if u get a chance for better offer.

at the moment no. and i have done with all these interviews, sending resume and stuff. i prefer coming back to these in the next 2 years.

honestly, my course is not even related to oil and gas. even my cgpa is low. why not i just let it be. plus i am not coming from a wealthy family. and i should not ask my parents to support my living anymore icon_rolleyes.gif
