QUOTE(mrBuLuKoreK @ Nov 10 2012, 08:18 PM) Hi guys! I need some help and advice. My sister just graduated from UTP with 1st class degree in Civil Eng. Atm she work at a very small ong sub con there at pengerang johor and eventually she is not satisfy w the working env there. So the question is, are there any possible vacancies thar u guy may heard which suits with her qualifctn?? I would prefers her to join at least medium or big size office where the staff more than 30 staff. Tq You can always ask her to apply @ Technip Asiaflex near Pasir Gudang. We got a lot of vacancy there. Just view it on Technip's website. Little advice for fresh graduated student, don't join O&G if you just want to get the money.. remember you get paid on what you did everyday. I personally advised total 3 of fresh grad student (and 1 uncle) to resigned after I learn that they can't keep up with the pace.. why waste your time here? Most of them leaved the company after 4 months joining, the uncle leaved after 3 weeks.

Hey guys.. are there bright prospects (maybe 3-5 years down the road) for a maintenance engineer working in a plant (downstream)?
I suppose their skills and experience will be transferable when they intend to move to upstream, no?
What else can they branch into aside from maintenance?
(I hope my questions are clear and making sense)

Here it is,
I am going to graduate on this january. I am really interested to work in OnG
The problem is, how to properly choose the kind of work in this field. Engineering area seems to be very vast. I don't know where to start with.
The most important question is, is it hard to get a job in this field? Tqvm
