Ooo Finally Senior Member 551 posts Joined: Dec 2006	Yo all. player reporting in. I registered for the closed beta but didnt do it. Lucky I saw this tread, otherwise I wouldnt have known the game has already been launched. Edit - opps spoke too soon. open beta only izit? I didnt read through all 12 pages, but saw some discussion on previous MW games you all played. I first played Battletech/MW with BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Revenge on my old Intel 386 DX, then I played the board games called Battletech, card games (never owned the cards though), all the mechwarrior series except MW 1, all the Mechcommander series. Your ingame name? nope the board game is actually cheap once you already have the board. there used to be some free programs out there that you can use to customise/design your own mechs. but i have no idea if they still exist. aiyak i just tried the game. damn laggy for me. probably coz my GC sux. looks like i will be giving this game a miss.

Hey dude, you seem to be very pro with the game. I have been trying it over the last two weeks but somehow I cannot get over the connection issues. I keep getting major lags and even disconnects. Any recommendation on how to overcome this? Currently using Unifi 30Mbps and usually on Oceanic server.

Its down to what route your ISP take to get to whatever site you are connecting to. The Oceanic server is actually in SG, which is why most Singaporeans have LAN quality ping while we can get somewhere between 30-100 depending on our ISP and which hour we are connecting at. If you read the forum, you'll note that some Aussies complain that their connection to Oceanic is laggy and worse than the NA server. Once you have this info, you need to complain to your ISP. Whether or not they will listen... Thanks man. I tried and followed the link that you sent. I couldnt really figure out what the output of the program was but anyway decided to change the stock router Unifi gave with my internet provider gave to my own router and man it was night and day difference. I now have a consistent 50ms ping and have not once disconnected from my last 10-ish games since. Hoping to be able to exchange for an Ebon Jaguar tonight.

I dont have a high end Asus router to compare to... only had a low end Asus ADSL modem/wifi to compare to - and it works. I mean I find it hard to justify spending RM900 for a Asus router. Its not like they are giving a unicorn with it. I am usually getting 50ms ping on Oceanic server with the occasional 150ms ping game for MWO. DOTA2 I get about 100ms-175ms ping and maybe 0.001% packet loss for the entire 1 hr game. But at this point I dont think i can identify if it is the router or connection issue anymore.
