I recently got a DW-5600RL as a souvenir from a family member who traveled overseas. The watch is legit, but upon closer inspection, it has the dreaded crooked module and the display is slightly tilted to the right.

Heard this issue is quite widespread and is fairly normal, but does anyone know any repair shops that can maybe nudge and realign the display? If I take it to Marco's service center, would they even entertain a request like that?

Try check with En Epal in FB. He's doing repair and servicing on G-shock watches.

Do I have to contact this person through FB? I have long since deactivated my account there and no longer use any socmed except for whatsapp.

Also, I was hoping anyone could share their experience sending a non-local watch to Marco for repair/servicing since they also seem to be able to keep the water resistance of the watch.

I'm one state away in N9 but I can try to drop by as I go to KL a few times a week.

If that store is still active I'll try contacting them. Thanks.

as long as its original..then yes... but obviously no warranty claim...
and is it module crooked or the crystal print? better u just whatsapp or email them first...

That's the thing: there is no way to confirm whether it's the module or the print that is out of line without opening up the watch first.

Of course, I will try to whatsapp both Marco and Kerek Store and see what they say first.

anyway...i think is just the module...minute only but noticable on some 5600...when u compare the lines on the day date box...
think is by design so to have buffer space for shock purposes...

Yes, the day-date box is what made me notice the misalignment. It bothers me because it is something I wear every day, and I frequently check my watch for the current time so as to avoid delays. Lazy to pull out my phone every time.

And I hope it is the module because that's what I've read in watchuseek and reddit as well. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools and skill to open the watch and close it back properly. Afraid that I will mess up the O-ring and internal fogging will happen in certain conditions.

If I end up going to Kerek Store, I will probably ask them to mod the recessed 'Adjust' button and replace it with a normal length button as well.

Pictures would certainly help us see what you mean...

It's very hard to get it on my phone's camera because of image stabilization and post processing of the photo that I can't turn off in settings, which is why I didn't present any pictures. The tilt is actually minor but noticeable enough when seen IRL especially when checking the time.

If you look it up on Google Images there are some good examples of it. Sadly I don't have an external camera that I can take a properly aligned top-down picture with.

EDIT: This is the best image that I could get that shows the misaligned display. Look at the shadow and the top of the day-date box. It is much more visible when seen IRL.
