It finally arrived.but u have to jump through a few stupid hoops just to qualify to be in the raffle for one. Forget about it..

Because it's limited in quantity lol.gif those who are not willing don't have to take part. Just that someone else may get the chance and then sell it at double the price...

Allegedly the best place for a G-Shock is at Marco itself. If you're not too bothered then any number of good watch shops can do a good job as well, and will be cheaper.

Guess you could look it up online and call your usual shop and ask? I reckon they should.

The imitation ones always have AAA+ or AA, etc. somewhere in the description to denote the grade and therefore alert you that it is not the real deal.

Anyway, if you're really unsure you can always post the links here and we can assist.

Also, if you know someone in SG, you can ask them to buy it on Amazon and pass it to you when they come over.
Amazon shipping to SG is bloody cheap compared to MY for some reason. I was planning to do this but since the one I wanted was just a simple model and the savings was only about RM50+ I decided against it and got it on Shopee. Order, wait a few days, and paid the Pos Laju guy cash. Too easy...

Just picked up a watch from g-factoru, they give a 5% discount on standard models. Not much, but something I guess.

DIY? Just buy two SR927W batteries and some silicone grease.

Watch this guy, but you don't have to peel off the white label to unlock the latch and don't turn the watch upside down. Watch where he inserts the pin to unlock the latch, how he resets the watch and apply the silicone grease to the gasket.

Another, "pro" method but you can improvise if you don't have all the tools and fancy grease applicator.

You mean change the battery on your own?

Just be careful. Once you opened the watch on your own - the warranty is no longer valid. Even if the warranty isn't valid (your watch is several years already), I don't think it's worth the trouble of changing it yourself and, in the event water goes in, you'll have to send it to be fixed (the cost and trouble). It's just not worth it if you ask me. The battery doesn't cost that much (friends changed them and it's between RM20-RM40 or so), depending on your watch model.

Was at the launch of MR-G LE last week, so just sharing literally the few pics I took.

Not a great fan of G's, but my god is that how much MR-G's cost?

If the watch is not from Casio's Official Store (in lazada), then no idea whether it's legit.
