bought this from mr diy for rm7.45...
went from this to full in around 24-30hrs... from experience...if i had left it by the window to take in the sun...it would take about 3 weeks to go full. somehow the bluetooth squares take in power very slowly compared to other solar gshocks which i can normally charge to full in 2-3 days by the window. |

QUOTE(Buffalo Soldier @ Feb 17 2020, 11:33 AM) To all guru and sifu here, price implies its original but grey market.I seek your advice. In your wisdom, do you think this is genuine? https://www.lazada.com.my/products/casio-g-...s684878758.html If yes, then my next question would be... is the G-5600e-1 is a good starting point for a G-Shock newbie? rest of the stuff they're selling also looks the same. but obviously u cannot tell if its original just by looking at the stock photos...so have to go figure out who the seller is which i have no idea who they are yet. |

QUOTE(jun_ng_1208 @ May 9 2020, 09:05 PM) damn, no wonder the world is ending anyway the last g-shock that caught my interest was the b100 mudmaster...but being non-solar and only 2yr battery life...meh...better get the garmin instinct. |

QUOTE(DiRecToRofSaTaN @ May 10 2020, 10:38 PM) My Garmin Fennix already a year old and needs to charge every 32 hours with minimum usage. If a lot of touches and use the GPS will be shorter time to charge. Imagine you are out on the field and trying to find a plug points it is absurdity at its best. u can also change the garmin battery...either thru aeco or diy... now using it while obviously having some defect is true absurdity tho. B100 battery life expectation is 2 years and G Shock always last longer than 2 years time frame given before you need to change the battery. Me I stick with GWG- 1000 solar powered , one full charge will get you 6 months without any need to worry. Well unless I dont go back home within 6 months straight that is . also there are also cases of b100 with batteries dying after a yr... i believe got 1 in here too. so in the end, anything can break down...but if everything works as it should... I'll still take garmin over b100. |

QUOTE(lerijiso @ May 14 2020, 10:43 PM) Because most Gshocks have plastic body and the back cover is attached using those four screws. I think Once the screws are removed, the plastic body, housing for the screw threads will be compromised so, it makes sense that its never gonna be the same again after a back case removal and reinstall procedure. there's a gasket around the caseback...as long as thats still ok...then no issues.very rarely the screw thread gets stripped. |

3rd change coming soon already cos LED is weak... again all that matters is that the gasket is in good condition... |

QUOTE(am3 @ Jun 19 2020, 07:17 PM) I read that the slowness is only when getting out of exercise mode or something, isn't it? ya all suffer from the slow interface. And all this new Gbd, gbx suffer from this same slowness right? another one is the button response time... typical gshocks u can press a button very quickly 3x..5x... depending what mode u want to go...alarm.. timer etc. this one u cannot... maybe u press quickly 5x...it only goes to 2nd or 3rd mode... |

QUOTE(jun_ng_1208 @ Jun 20 2020, 12:01 PM) I don't get the hype on the GBD models, saw ppl flexing it in the G-Shock FB group, I guess it's just mainly the FOMO effect is basically for the MIP display... before this of cos only on the rangeman b1000.then gbd comes along for usd150 with similar styling and ppl go crazy. |

QUOTE(am3 @ Jun 20 2020, 02:37 PM) the MIP actually has a positive display.. but on certain settings...my guess is positive display eats the batt more since it needs to make more pixels white... so its not used for main. |
