The safest way is for you to go to the land office , pay a small fee and check whether this is bumi lot.
Maybe the word 'bumi' is hidden somewhere, so ask the land office officer.

Never believe in dishonest real estate agent or even lawyers.

I have lawyers giving me wrong info before !

So it is better to look for other properties ie. DON'T BUY this property.

Usually, if property is cheap, means it is bumi lot or bumi seller.

If you really like the environment and house, then buy it.

It is not impossible to buy bumi lot except it is very troublesome and takes longer time.

The lawyer have to appeal after rejection at least one time.

So you have to apply many times and give good reason eg. seller needs money urgently

If you want to sell later, also it will be more difficult to sell.
