This has been going on for a month now. Every time when im doing bicep curl there will be an uncomfortable nerves pain on my bicep. It kinda felt like the nerves line moves and yanks when curling. Stretching wont work either.
The pain will be just there when heavy lifting only with bicep curl.

Any recommendations?

lol...better go to specialist bro.

do you feel this pain only with heavy weights? you could try lifting lighter weights for now.

btw, this pain just recently? or you recently started lifting weights?

Lifting for a year..the pain is just very recent. Cant grow with lighter weight..no umph sad.gif
Its not exactly sharp pain, more towards a discomfort and i can feel the nerves/veins moves as i lift.
It doesnt stop me from lifting but its just very uncomfortable to do so.

try checking the link i provided above, see if any fits your symptoms.

but my only advice is to go to specialist - you'll never know what's wrong on your own. it could be some serious problem

First off, what kind of rep range are you looking at when you say 'heavy'?

Though rare, may be a bicep alignment issue, or in more serious cases tendon strain or minor tendon/ligament tears.

Have you tried icing the area and resting it a few days?

PS: also contrary to popular belief, "you must lift heavy to grow, and you can't grow with light weight", you most certainly do not require heavy weights in order to stimulate growth.

A steady rep range of 10 in good form.
5kg for dumbbell is heavy enough to cause the discomfort.
I'll try icing and see how it goes.

I'd be able to give you a more accurate analysis if I met you, but... from the info you have given it sounds to me like it could be bicep tendonitis (especially if its around the upper area). and you're correct, stretching will not sort it out.

I'd highly recommend you rest it first, ice as well. Try again with a light load, nothing under 10 reps, heck even use a 2.5kg DB. If the pain comes back after 4 - 5 days, consult a physio or osteo.

ps: any join instabilities or pain? primarily in the elbow?

No pain on my joint. Pain is not on the shoulder area.
Discomfort on the distal biceps tendon when i curl, like an electrical current passing through.

I think I had the same problem last time. I lift too heavy and ignore the pain and the next day, I can't straighten my arm for a week. After recovery from the pain, my left hand always feel pain whenever I do bicep exercise. It does not tally with the right arm. Let's say I can lift 10kg for right hand and do 10 reps, my left hand only manage to do 5reps. The pain is unbearable. I have to stop it for a few minutes before I can lift again. It's been going on for a year actually. After that, one of the forumer told me to start with a light weight on both hand. After some time, it recover by itself. Just my two cent.

Ice it up, not too long of course. I'd say 10 mins or so at a time. Rest up for a few days.

As mentioned, if the problem persists, I'd recommend visiting a physio or osteo
