Anybody know if damaged paint is covered under warranty? My 2 weeks red Saga, I just realised that there's a slight crack at the side of front bonnet. I could see white colour. Can 'touch up' paint at Proton Edar?

Also the side window moulding has to be glued again.

Very exciting isn't?

#edit-1 Read the warranty terms. It says at 2.1.8 "Any cosmetic or surface corrosion caused by stone chips or scratches in the paint .... " will not be covered.

If Proton doesn't cover how much would it cost to 'touch up' outside? If I leave it, it may "karat" faster isn't?

Hey all! I just arrived at Shah Alam from Kulim, Kedah. From full tank left 1 bar left. Drove around 110 km/h. The traffic was relatively okay. Many heavy vehicles and few luxury cars.

Now must change oil first 1000KM. Anyone know good Proton service centre around Shah Alam?

My friend says Glenmarie is good too. And allow to bring own oil.

Showed my friend the 'paint crack'. He said that it's a stone chip. So I don't think can claim that?

Went to Proton Glenmarie Service Centre today, for first 1000KM engine oil change. Arrived at 10am but only finished everything two hours later. Already made appointment earlier but still ... Many people I think?

Anyways, below is today's damage.
1. Engine oil Syntium 800 SM (RM112)
2. Magnetrap. (RM68)
This is something to make my engine cleaner. I think, I may have somehow been hustled (or poisoned) by the Proton guy to install it. I think that's how service centre makes money from "free labour". Of course new drivers love and want to protect their cars. I hope this stuff actually does has its practical functions. 3. Gasket, drain plug, oil filter (RM15)
Total: RM195.55

And the Proton guy confirmed the paint defect was a stone chip mark. Will need to touch up soon or else it'll corrode (how long?).
