In Malaysia, I'm not sure about it. I think you have only few choices , but I think I would go with no-ip

Your problem might be the IP Range , certain IP ranges are behind proxy on certain time , thus making users from other places hard to view your site. You should think twice

Folks from malaysia should not have any problems

because u friends might have cache dns and unable to reslove the 3rd lvl domain to your ip. or your no-ip client have not update your new ip to them.

If he just want to host things from his pc, which has this dynamic IP, i think it`s not worth it to buy a domain..

Use the free one, they are not that bad.. biggrin.gif

e.g. : lyn.kicks-ass.org biggrin.gif

i have been using no-ip.com for few years already and no problems so far. You friends being unable to connect to you using the dynamic domain is not because of using no-ip.com. To find out, try asking them to connect using direct ip the next time to see if they can connect.

They best dynamic domain is dyndns.org and no-ip.com. Don't waste time on others. If those two doesn't work then the problem is your side or your friend's side.

As for registering a full domain name for dynamic site. It's a real waste of money unless you are making some money out of that hosting.

www.epfarms.org <-- USD$ 7.99 , pretty good , pretty good service

Well , DDNS means that , you could have Static IP with your Dynamic IP , meaning that I could a website or any other services behind a Dynamic IP , even my IP Changes , it will send back the new IP back to the server and letting them know that "hey , the ip for blahblahblah.freedns.org has been changed". So , all the user has to give is his/her DDNS Domain only. They dont have to give out the IP Address.
