my speedrun laws...

at least 2 gears with +12% movespeed
at least 2 exp items- hellfire ring and ruby on socket helm
at least 1 gear with pickup radius..2 for best results
never use ns for speedruns. ... vengeance is much more efficient when creeps are tofu.
use vault with tumble rune and with passive TA whenever u can
see creeps spam a few BL or multishot with suppression fire.. when using BL do not wait till BL kills creeps. just vault into them and prepare to pickup health globes..
continue vaulting til next group of creeps.
do not turn back to pick globes or gold or items.
standby preparation for extra discipline boost when necessary.
use bat companion for extra hatred generation
primary attack use HA for good dmg versus single champions
if reach dead end just tp and start at next checkpoint.

Heck, this is why my speed runs never work.

1. I pick up pots, golds and even gems. Yeah gems. Bad habit just die hard.
2. Never use vault since like i knew how to play D3. But i think i have to change that soon. if i'm gonna start using perfectionist i gotta drop TA.

Haha Yah... I pick up gems and tome of secrets too... old habits die hard! even mythic potions even though I end up picking up more than I ever use...

I didn't pick up gems and tome but potions.. and even sometimes i'll vault back just because of high gold pile >2k/3k.. yup it's not that much gold earned if compared to selling stuff in ah, but that gold pile just so... tempting

I speedrun slower now than I did in 1.04 with the overpowered TOC I no longer use vengeance nor nightstalker. Just need preparation focused mind on skill bar. Steady aim, tact adv, and sharpshooter are my passives. The purpose of this is to maximize my chance of 1 or 2-shotting trash.

Having tried multishot many times, I still prefer ball lightning. It travels beyond the screen, whereas multishot can't reach the extremities of the screen.

However, I find multishot better in coop when you're following the pace and not leading it. My favorite multishot rune when i use it, is fire at will. 15 hatred is just right.

Ah..a supplementary Q to the above..how much CC would be ideal for a DH? I just invested in a Nats set for the 7% CC and it boosted my CC from 43.5 to 50.5...if I want to I can actually push it to 55.5%. But I noticed between 43.5% and 50.5%..there is not much difference in critting.. I meant to say..it appears that I am criitng at the same rate. At 50.5%, I ought to crit 1-2 shots, but sometimes I can go like 5-6 shot before critting. I know there are times I crit 3 shots in a row..RNG is RNG ..but I feel I'm not critting as much as I should be (dunno makes sense or not..placebo effect?). Anyone experianced the same scenario? Does CC diminish returns upon reaching a certain treshold? Does it make sense to use sharpshooter when having 50% crit?

Heck no. Don't use sharpshooter. Yeah i get that feeling too with CC. That's why when i do farm MP1, i drop my CC to 48.5 with scoundrel. Don't really need those extra CC. I replaced it with pick up radius. Feels good to just run and pick up gold.

1. It's not possible to tell from your heart unfortunately, without some sort of damage logs that can be saved to a file to analyze.

2. Generally no. It only guarantees you a 3% crit and in most cases, other passives are more useful.
