The 16GB iPhone 5 will cost RM2290, the 32GB iPhone 5 will be 2690, the Lumia 920 has a better camera, wireless charging and better screen. If Nokia sells it for RM2200, it's a steal.

Better camera & screen for sure but these won't cost way too much to produce. These aren't AMOLED screen which is well known as expensive screen.Lumia 900 only have the wireless inductive.Again, the hardware won't be that expensive. The heavy lift for the wireless charging is done by the wireless charging station which is not included in retail package.Certainly Lumia is a premium product but I believe that the price should be fixed for RM2K.Nokia won't be selling this phone for a cheap price because they are trying to change US & number of european customers perception that Nokia only sell cheap stuff.

About the aspire's situation, let's be civil here shall we? Comparing multiple devices is fine but don't go overboard.Always remember this is a Windows Phone thread where WP users want reviews & solution for their device related problem.Different hardware & OS have their own advantage & disadvantage. If we really want to go for it it'll be an endless war.
I always loved the N900 & N9's threads. We kept the thread very technical & pleasant.New owners can just come in & search for the info they need without getting lost in rubbish post.Remember that this kind of flame war attitude that caused admin to suspend the post count & ban users last time.
I hope this will be the end of the whatever product is the best.If you have the absolute best phone in the world pm me instead.I'm looking for 1.

Damn...I posted like a saint doh.gif

hmmmmm,
as long as the price is reasonable, i will get it......
heard nokia will do an android phone after this?

Yeah right. And I heard my grandma will be driving for Ferrari F1 team next season.
It's ok to make a rumor. But at least make it a believable rumor.

I have version 2.8.2 I think and not the latest version. I will have to manually download the latest version (2.8.8 I think) because for WP8 you will not find it in the store. I've also heard people having some issues with it so I don't want to mess with it yet. I can live with some of the quirks with the current version I have right now.

You sideloaded the application?

only 1st gen & 2nd gen WP7 can do sideload

sideload apps = jailbreak apps

but, wp8 not yet unlockable .

sideload apps = jailbreak apps isn't exactly true.
Some app developer or power users sometimes wants to test application without needing to download from official app store. This is legal depending on the OS.

Noo ... why can't they put WP8 in a Lumia 800 body?
*
Technically it should be possible. If WP 7.8 can run reasonable fast in ARM 5 SOC I think Lumia 800 with much better hardware should be able to run WP8 because the UI/UX has not changed much. But the updating method might be too complex(probable repartition, loss of data etc2 might be involved) so Microsoft is skipping it.I do think it's Microsoft's decision rather than Nokia's.But so far the software support is good from both sides. So it's still ok.

Some power users managed to port WP8 on HTC HD2.So we'll see whether it's possible to do the same with Lumia phones. So far none of the Lumia phones bootloader has been cracked. But that might me because pf lack of interest. Now that there is increase in interest things might get interesting.

What about the other 4 companies who gotten 4G license?

Cyan, pink perhaps?

Who? The P1 & YES clowns?
Heck their service is even more unreliable than TM's & we all know how "good" is TM's reliability.
If they really enter voice telco competition good chance they have to gulung tikar fast because they'll have hard time to break even.
