People jump to conclusions too quickly. I'm not here to defend Nokia or anything. I'm more to pointing people to the right direction, hence I used comparative pricing, relative to iPhone 5's prices in the said regions. So if Nokia were to launch at 2.4k, iPhone 5 will launch at 2.8k, using the conversion, but we can't do that.
Euro prices is never a safe benchmark to determine local price. Their VATs are crazy. It's best to wait for US price to make judgement.
If Nokia's local distributor is still having any sense, they won't announce a price over RM2.2k(even if international price are higher). In fact I can safely bet that the local sale are going to be poor if it is priced over RM2k.
Anything higher than that will make the phone hardly can sell.
Nobody is willing to buy a Nokia at RM2.4k. At least not for local(where Apple & Samsung pretty much covered the whole market).
In short, what I mean is: They can try with RM2k+ pricing, but they better be ready/eventually forced to lower down the price.

Yeah prices should be around this price range only. If too high They're gonna lose customers. Probably a little lower for the 820. Around RM 1,399.
That can't be. Lumia 820 is just a 920 with an lousier(doesn't mean it is inferior) screen. And the price stated is just a tad less than 920. So logically it will be upper RM1.5k to RM 1.7k(or may be 1.8k if 920 breach the 2.1k).
hi guys, i just pre-order lumia 920 at nokia store at mines today, but sadly the salesperson said only black color available atm..is it true? or is it the same at any other store?..
Hmm, you pre-order it from digi? Can we pre-order + suscribing the plan there? Or it only for device only?

Does WP8 has USB Internet tethering function?
USB, not sure. But internet sharing via wireless(AKA wifi hotspot), yes.

Yeah, well I don't really play alot of games on my device anymore. I guess mostly social apps. Google+.. is it available to on windows phone? I kinda use that alot .... IS there a google talk app as well?
I kinda use that alot as well.
2ndly, since I have been using a google device, my mail is gmail, and all my contacts are in there. Do i specifically need to create a hotmail account to start the device or can I sign up using my Gmail and will my contacts sync to the phone ?
IMO, to use Microsoft's services, it is more of a necessary to have a LIVE ID (hotmail).
My WP7.5 synced nicely with my Window8Pro, so I am expecting it to be better in WP8.
Hey stringfellow, what's the 4GB thumb drive you mentioned earlier? Anything special? I'm still contemplating because I'm expecting a full launch very soon which we'll probably get much more out of it.
After all this low profile launch and pre-order, I start wondering if there will still be any grand/official launch events...
May be NokiaMalaysia used their budget on marketing to cut down the cost of the device to keep it competitive in this market?

depends i have tested both if you are talking about overall note 2 always wins. 1. BATTERY LIFE Note 2 has a 3100mah battery while the 920 have a 2000mah when i said heavy usage i would use it from 100% until the phone battery died not like some forumer in this forum they tell you 20mins call 30sms 30 whatsapp message and some facebook can roughly last a day.
When u push its limits to the max you know average how long it last on battery life note 2 wins since then i have never bother to worry about battery life furthermore back then on my lumia 800/900 i need to turn off 3G or else the battery will deplete even faster.
So conclusion for battery life Note 2 wins if you monitor the statsitic even its a quad core its not always running at 1.6ghz but only when its needed thats one of the way to extend its battery life 2. CAMERA Nokia Lumia 920 have a float lens and OIS with this two is enough to beat Samsung Galaxy Note 2 camera even using BSI Sensor.
So conclusion Camera in photo imaging and video recording goes to Nokia Lumia 920 3. AUDIO I have tested the Nokia monster headset on both Nokia Lumia 920 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 the audio sound alot better on Note 2 because it has a wolfson audio chip built in. The audio on the Nokia Lumia 920 sound very dull and low regardless what you do. http://www.gizbot.com/mobile/samsung-mobil...-galaxy-s3.html
So conclusion the winner goes to Samsung Galaxy Note 2
5. SCREEN SIZE
Since i used the Note 2 it becomes more like a phablet a phone comes tablet so everything looks sharp and clear due to its huge 5.5inch screen visibility while browsing is just great , video play back is amazing. Battery life is also great you can watch 4 to 5 of continous video and still have plenty of juice left. Try it yourself
So conclusion It depends on individual some prefer smaller screen as a phone some like me prefer both world into one. 6. SCREEN DIRECT SUNLIGHT VISIBILITY For direct sunlight test Nokia Lumia 920 wins due to its clearblack display technology its sharp and clear in most condition unlike note 2 it uses brightness to compensate resulting in heavy battery drain.
Conclusion Nokia Lumia 920 wins 7. WRITING S-PEN
2012-11-01-5395.jpg by JTproductions, on Flickr S-pen can do many things like screen hovering over icons, take screenshots, handwriting recognition, crop images and etc watch the above video the learn more while the Nokia Lumia 920 you cant do all those but you can use anything even wearing glove to become a stylus.
Conclusion Samsung Galaxy Note 2 wins here
8. MULTITASKING
In multitasking clearly samsung galaxy note 2 is superior you can even have multi window. If you dont close the apps it will stay running in the background like your computer and multi window like the video you can like send sms while watching watch your youtube video or web browsing and watching video, and many more combination of your choice.
Conclusion : Samsung Galaxy Note 2 9. HOMESCREEN
This part is very subjective because Note 2 you can customizable widgets, icons , various pages and etc when Nokia Lumia 920 you can only do tiles and only 1 way scrolling. Dont forget samsung galaxy note 2 can even add live wallpaper in the background. Some ppl will say you add background the phone will lag from my experience my phone is using live wallpaper and i love it without experiencing any lag.
So conclusion : it depends on invidiual taste for me i prefer samsung galaxy Note 2 10. NETWORK Nokia Lumia 920 wins because its LTE ready when the samsung galaxy note 2 international version GT7100 available in malaysia do not support LTE
So conclusion goes to Nokia Lumia 920
This picture very misleading.
You are comparing 920 to N2, but you put the picture of S3 in it.
