Can't wait to see what WP8 has to offer, really looking forward to it. I have been use WP7 and honestly speaking, it's a failure OS. Lack of apps, lack of supports, apps lag here and there, BUT butterly smooth OS. That's a sure +. I hope WP8 can offers what WP7 lacks. I really do, if not Nokia can go die already. They just can offer great gps system + camera module. Other than that... rclxub.gif

well they did screw up with WP7. there will always be some fear.

Screw up? Not a chance. An ecosystem shouldn't only be looked at one angle. WP7 may not have picked off like it was intended to be, but an ecosystem is far more than that.

An ecosystem is comprised of many things, from cloud to home entertainment, all tightly integrated together, through your Microsoft Account (previously known as Windows Live ID). There are too many things to cover here, I'll skip. I've explained it once in one of these forums before. If I can find it, I'll update here. Otherwise, let's leave it as that smile.gif

At a business point of view, it'd be stupid not to pick Microsoft. Even RIM pales in comparison in the enterprise sector now, with MSFT's purchase of Yammer and partnership with Good Technologies. On top of that, there's Skype thrown into the mix, and its very own Lync & Exchange. Also, Office 365.

If Windows 8 is any indication of what WP8 would be, I'd instantly call it a success. If you've had a chance to fool around with Windows 8, you'll get what I mean. Otherwise, wait for its launch smile.gif

Well, UK is affected by VAT, which should see it adjust for about ~20%. Also we can't make judgement based on certain accessories. Clove is probably betting on people to actually buy those along with their phone for "convenience". This is cross selling at its finest  biggrin.gif

Unless someone is really free enough to compare item by item, we wouldn't know  smile.gif

Lol the pricing is like higher than 20%. Yeah i think cross selling is their idea for setting the price that high. But its just sending wrong a message to consumers.

I'm sorry, but just indicating some stuffs you said. You're judging WP7 only based on apps? WP7 didn't fail it was a new OS and microsoft was not giving enough commitment to it and not enough marketing was done for WP7. And as for Nokia it was kind of stupid of them to release WP7 devices and then 3 months later announce that current users can't upgrade to the new OS.

Exactly. People don't understand the power of the ecosystem. To most of them ecosystem = apps and support. Come on guys. Microsoft is aiming for a bigger picture. All they need is good marketing for people to know the existance of the community and what Windows 8 and WP8 can do. Then they're on the right track already.

screw up in the sense that WP7 phones are not upgradeable to WP8. and that ecosystem that you are talking about was not utilized in WP7. That will change in WP8. Looking forward to it.

It has got nothing to do with WP7. It's Whatsapp's server / app that's been acting weird. I'm using mine just fine.

could be whatsapp server or you are using the free version. My friend have similar issue then he paid for whatsapp then it works fine.

You just look at the indicator if 2 ticks means he received.

if 1 tick you already sent so no issue. So which is which?

if got 1 tick means its receiver problem lor. If you see a clock logo on your phone means the message is still not send out. Since u get a tick means problem lies on whatsapp server and receiver.

in wp, do we need to pay for full version of whatsapp?
bcoz maybe i think its the watsapp server.. coz i watsapp with my android in the same time, the receiver received without any problem.. but with my lumia, 30minits after that, the receiver receive the watsapp..
