Just paid for my pre-order for a Yellow 920. Got to play with it at the Nokia store. Feels really nice and I have no complaints about the weight. Can't wait to et my hands on it next week or latest, 10 days from now. I saw that they have Whatsapp installed in the phone as well.
*
you preordered it from where?

no complains about the weight? Its the biggest gripe about this phone for now actually. So much so that i am considering the 8X. But then the Nokia exclusive apps are pulling me back to 920.
*
nope... my 920 is lighter than my 3ds which i always carry it with me almost all the time

I'm in the middle east  smile.gif , not in Malaysia. So pre-ordered it today when I went to the Mall and saw the Nokia store. They had the Yellow 920 to play with and I have to say the build is awesome.

I've been using the iPhone 4s and it's 145 grams naked. The Lumia 920 is 185 grams so that's an extra 40g. I don't usually carry the 4s naked and I usually have it with the Battery Pack Morphie Juice Air which not only makes the iPhone 4s bulky, it also adds probably another 80-100 grams to the weight so having the 920 in my hand naked seems okay to me. It does feel a bit huge as compared to the 4s and I'm sure I will love the size.

The new iPhone 5 is 113 grams and you can actually feel that it's light BUT almost everyone will have their iPhone 5 with a casing which will add another 30-40 grams to it so I don't see any reason to complain about the added weight for the 920.

A bit disappointed that it doesn't come with the charging plate though. I mean, it's SAR2499 (RM2050) and not getting a charging plate (they say it will cost and extra 150-200) is disappointing.
*
i guess the free charging plate promo doesnt including middle east

Well there is always hope that those who pre-orders will get some freebies from the local Nokia stores. The offer in the UK also came after the launch dates and pre-orders were made. Anyway, that is fine. I'm planning to buy 2 charging plate. One for home and one for the office. Maybe I'll order the Fatboy pillow  brows.gif

Next is to see when the JBL speakers are coming out.
*
yeah...... can't wait for that promo website opens up....wanna claim my free charging plate tongue.gif

since 8x is on that price, can safely assume that 920 will be around 1.9k in malaysia smile.gif

im very new to WP8, this notification quite convincing. My question is, does the live tiles require data continuous update?

it depends on which app/live tiles. if simple like sms etc no need for data connection. but for others like fb, weather app need the data connection to update...

you can switch off 3g/lte data connection if you afraid it would use up a lot. but at the moment, the wifi turn off when lock still exist in wp8 so the 3g/lte data connection may serve as backup in receiving live tiles updates

I do watch the preview by Joe Belfiore mentioned the data usage could be managed efficiently by the device compressing the website. is it the new features by WP8? how good to be true, since im plan to use the pre-paid plan
*
that's Data Sense, but at the moment it still unavailable & it's carrier dependent.

Most reported battery problems were caused by NFC. Turn that off and it will save you heaps.

Well, I'm not that heavy user and as long as battery last until uni lecture over or the whole day, it's ok for me. Besides, I do have Yoobao 11200 mAh with me during traveling brows.gif

QUOTE(ezmeer94 @ Nov 19 2012, 10:21 PM)
yea i wanna to read a review as well tongue.gif from malaysia

Probably better if you read pro reviews out there tongue.gif

Anyway, currently satisfied with my 1st smartphone. Love the smoothness of wp8 OS since sometimes kinda annoyed with my friends' SIII (they haven't upgraded to JB i believe). The speaker is louder than my w660i which is great for me. I don't know if this is normal but the video recorded is kinda large (500 MB for 5 min video) laugh.gif
Since the same wifi disabled during lock will probably be 'fixed' later, I won't comment much but I believe if the phone is charging, wifi will stay enabled.
The only wierd thing on my 920 is its battery, which kinda not constant on displaying the remaining time sweat.gif But still, manage to last during my usage wink.gif
I still haven't explored much on my lumia eventhough owned it about 2 weeks. Still haven't use the maps, drive etc..

QUOTE(moomanhang @ Nov 19 2012, 10:06 PM)
anyone know any secure website that sells lumia 920 thats ships internationally? lol

if your relative can test first, try put other sim card into at&t 920, for example verizon or sprint.. that way can know if it is locked or not. if locked, try ask how much needed to unlock it smile.gif
