Seriously? Cos ppl keep telling note 2 is better than ip5 and now Lumia is better than note 2? Can u let me know what makes u think that 920 is a superior phone? Cos right now I am really cant make up my mind between these three.. icon_question.gif

Honestly speaking, if you're into the experience offered out of the box (disregarding the apps completely), then L920 would be a better choice. Apart from simplicity, the suite of Office apps with tight integration to Office 365 just kills the competition right off, not to mention the superior navigation solutions from Nokia. The hardware part, well, it's safe to say L920 has the best recording devices (in a smartphone, camera + 3 mics) in the market right now and no one would argue with that, today.

Again, if you're a person who favors apps above all else, you may want to do a bit of research to see if your favourite apps exist in WP (or alternatives). If you favour Google services (Gmail, Gmaps, Gtalk, G+), then stick to Android, plain and simple.

Yea, there are bound to be some defects. Consider him unlucky.

The two units I bought work great biggrin.gif

Let me re-phrase that.. its Nokia Care Suite for PC

Few items I noticed:
1. Mobile network now shows MY MAXIS instead of 50212 (for UK sets)
2. New setting - WIFI keep on after lock
3. New setting - increased readability in sunlight
4. New setting - Brightness auto dim with Battery Saver
5. People app functions better.. at least can see comments when viewing photos.
6. 4G option now selectable. Previously limited to 2G and 3G

Will test camera in daylight and battery tomm and see if any diff.

What about the camera? Do you notice any improvements?

I'm quite worried about Portico update. Many people face the brightness bug.

Battery life looks very promising even after surfing, FB, taking and editing photos.

Camera....looks like still need to use creative studio to enhance d photos but not so soft anymore.

Brightness issue not noticeable. It's fixable anyway.

No random restarts so far.

Do you have Skype installed? People are saying Skype is the main culprit, that's why I haven't installed on mine yet.

Yes and CNN too. But all speculation. If din update...do this

Switch off nfc
Auto brightness on
High sensitivity off
Block nokia drive in background.
Battery saver on
*
Here's what I have on mine.

NFC off, Sensitivity normal, Brightness auto, Battery Saver on.

Nokia Drive running in the background.

No CNN, no Skype. Battery lasts one whole day with full charge, which I'm pretty satisfied. I'm using it for documents editing on the go and email and calls + sms. Email syncs via POP3 every 15 minutes. I have 2 mailboxes running. On top of those, I also have my Outlook (Hotmail) running with Get Items as they arrive.

I'm pretty satisfied with my battery life at the moment. Compared to my old Mozart, which lasts barely half a day, and L800, which lasts up to 5pm.
