just crossed my mind. If Nokia Malaysia has stock of the old lumias, they might delay launch of new lumias until these clear out. sad.gif

Ya, I saw that ad. Makes me wonder, if no one is buying a Lumia even with that promotion, then the chances of winning Vios would be damn high biggrin.gif

Wait, was it a Vios? or a Perodua? I cannot remember

The plus point which Nokia is promoting is on the night shots. Look for the video which shows the Lumia 920 vs S3 vs iP5. It is there.

From a nokia supporter in photography since nokia n8 its a disappointment. First they fake the video of ois then now delay so long and the photos taken are not impressed but to me is just alright. Have u tried a nokia 808 pureview that is something impressive.

What you suggested does not make good business sense. Let me tell you why, no, better that I ask you.

There are other relatively superb phones in the market. You know your current models won't sell as your new and desired software would not be available for an up-grade for them. Would you still persist on selling off your stock before bringing in the new models which you also know is so hyped up and Windows 'fanboys' and even those not so into Windows before are eagerly waiting for it; and risk the chance of these people buying the other superb phones?

Moreover, those who are really loyal to Windows and Nokia will in all probability source from other countries to get the phones. Won't that make you lose a slice of the pie?

So, Nokia will not delay introducing the new Lumias just because they want to rid the existing stock. Period.

I did not say it is a good business sense. Never say never. If everyone does everything with a good business sense, Nokia & RIM wont be where they are now. All I said that it is a possibility and I stand by it.

If i am not mistaken any phone can do this as long as you have an active edge or 3G connection regardless if you have a plan or not.

nope!! Samsung....must have data on to receive mms !!
Symbian still best...when mms comes in...it knows how to on the data automatically.

for those who doesnt have data plan...its important to have this feature.

My point exactly. There is no possibility whatsoever that any company would even think of what you mentioned. And I took the liberty to put down the rationale. If companies do not exercise good business sense, then I do not know why they are in business, for fun?

Nokia and RIM are where they are now due to very stiff competition, being of the of the reasons. And that is exactly why Nokia is trying to make a come back, with the new Lumia series.

Anyhow, I'd still hope they arrive here on our shores...preferably by X'mas la...at least I want to have a play with it...

If it's delaying too much, I may have my eyes on the Nexus4...><"

Since these both devices are damn nice and price are at a nice figure too~~

Bought black lumia 920 from local Phones4u. Couldn't get the contract 920 as the system rejected my debit card. I suspect that they don't want to accept uni accommodation as billing address sweat.gif
