because tun daim that time smuggling lots of money to indon. mamatkutty decides to put and end to it by discontinuing 1k and thus requiring more effort to smuggle out physical RM

True that. But that time Malaysians still skeptical about electronic transfer kot. If I'm not mistaken, this policy is called "dasar tutup pintu" kot. I remembered even the HK news talked about it. They questioned does the policy works. And should HK follow?
