i assume u can read mandarin words...

开光(not sure about the term) is some sort of simple ceremony done by chinese bomoh, or some sort, normally to azimat to help protect u from "dirty" things and protect u from physical harm, like accident...

佛珠 is the necklace with big round beds that monks holding it while chatting..

Why must you buy from Bayan Lepas?
One of the streets adjoining Penang Road has a lot of such praying materials shops. Try there.

Okay... then try Sungai Ara.... should have 1 or 2 of those shops.

Actually, I can't read mandarin. Have no idea what you wanted to buy except it's praying material.

So after ritual confirm no accident? So why not the whole world perform it, then you will not see any accident related death.

Yes, now is already 2012 and i am amazed Chinese, especially those SJKC still stuck in this mindset. I can understand if you were born in early 1900, but 2012? You gotta be kidding me.

I have one colleague who use to go to temple to get amulet everytime he travels. The medium told him that the amulet will let him have smooth passage, especially on the ustom chekpoint. So the medium told him to go ahead and buy anything he wants, without fear of getting tax. The first trip to US works fine for him, so he goes to the temple for the amulet again for second trip. And lo and behold, second trip he kena stop and fine. So right now he curse everytime others talk to him on such thing. And as for me, i can only say " I told you so, idiot", to him.

ts if u are buddhist. i recommend you go do dana(offering) for monks. offer food, offer robes, etc to monks. for the merits.

if you need blessings or some protection item. you can go to mahindarama temple penang and let monks bless. they will give you blessing string. just go to the temple and ask around where to get blessing from the monks.

i used to be armed to the teeth with thai amulets and 佛珠s. i always carried like 20++ such items with me. all because i'm paranoid of losing my "luck" .

but then later on i realized doing charity, doing dana , helping people and really studying your own religion/belief(in my case buddhism) has much better effect than armed to the teeth with amulets.

but that don't mean totally not carrying any, i still carry a few with me. as precaution or to keep my mind at ease at least.

do good and good will come to you eventually.

Follow law no confirm no accident then no need follow? Biarlah apa ppl believe. More money no guarantee bettef life so no need earn money? Logic terencat akal, Bodoh sial, Bukannya TS so into it until he's obsessed with it.

Ok, no wonder all those kena scam always same people. Because they want peace of mind thats why they believe those scammers. LMAO.

For example, they buy lampe berger because its says that it would prevent certain disease, and they get conned good and proper by the MLM people.

So you do ritual on the car just to have peace of mind, and dont necessary believe it helps anything. rclxms.gif

Any sane person knows insurance is to cover your medical or assets in case of emergency or accident. Only some fools think that their ritual , will help them prevent accidents. Then why the need to buy insurance? laugh.gif

seriously pgkia8, i do not sure why u in this thread in the first place...
come here to flame ppl?
its others' freedom on what they believe on, not only u're not helping but create fuss here, just to show urself a keyboard warrior...

my title is to ask for help where to get 佛珠and where to 开光...
not discussing on how ridiculous about these ritual...u know there is a "New Topic" button right?
go ahead, create a new thread, make fuss there, i believe atheism folks would gladly reply there...

i also certainly know its ur freedom to comment here, and i cannot do anything about it..
MODS, please take note on this forumer...

Mahindarama temple is near Han Chiang college. Or you can go to other temples like temple of lifting Buddha or Burmese Buddha temple both near pulau tikus. Sri Lanka, Burmese and Thai monks usually give you blessing strings as protection. Not too sure if Chinese Buddhist and tibetan buddhist temples got give strings or not.

Best thing bout all these Buddhist (regardless of Chinese, Tibetan, Sri langkan, burmese, Thai)temples are they don't want your money(well all of the legit ones at least). They only accept when you offer it. Unlike some mediums which...you know....say you have to pay so and so. But not all mediums are bad. I have seen some mediums that don't want your money instead ask you do more charity.

Ts I hope you resolve whatever you are facing without problem. thumbup.gif

So freedom of speech, or difference of opinion is not allowed?
If someone open a thread asking where and how to buy drugs, cant i exercise my freedom of speech to advice that member to avoid drugs at all cost?
