I would like to change my dad's headlamp bulb as it is dim. I wanna know what is the size of the Proton perdana V6 headlamp. Is it H4, H7, H11 or others.

Please advise.

H4 for hi/lo beam, H3 for fog

Hi bro just wondering how come both the hi & lo beam uses the same H4 lamp?
This car's headlight system is a little confusing..

Because H4 bulb got 2 filament inside the bulb.

Perdana headlamp include of signal. headlamp & foglamp.

They all use different bulb from each others.

Ok if that is the case then i first need to clarify if my headlamp switching arrangement is correct. currently on my perdana i have the head lights working this way:

1) on the headlamp lever right of steering, the fog lamp switch - turns on a small secondary bulb in the biggest headlamp compartment

2) the switch above the front right speaker (with an altered symbol of a lo beam) - together with the fog lamp switch on, turns on the light in the smaller headlamp compartment together with the bulb in (1)

3) on the headlamp lever right of steering, the hi beam switch - turns on the main bulb in the biggest headlamp compartment

with this arrangement I do not see a way to turn on a 2nd filament for the bulb in the biggest compartment (i'm guessing this would be the H4 allocation) even when i try flashing with the headlamp lever.

is there something wrong with my car's switching arrangement?
i'd only just bought this so i'm not sure what is the standard lights arrangement

remove the bulb and check see what type lor .. got time to sit in front computer and ask but no time buka bonnet pakai mata tengok ka zzz people nowadays wtf

should be H4 head lamp (got 2 filaments like koh_424 said, hi beam and lo beam together in one bulb) and H3 ( input wire hanging out from the bulb d )

or can just simple open Google and search for "Perdana headlamp bulb".

hullo fren, if you're going to respond pls read my text properly don't just zzz brief tru. i am asking how 4 headlamp lights in total has only 3 switching controls. it is not something u could visually inspect by lifting the bonnet. i've seen dual filament bulbs since ages ago, but on this car i am unable to turn on that 2nd filament with the hi beam lever switch. it only turns on the H4 1st filament (lo beam).

Hello fren You said that the headlights is dim .. you want to change type of bulb .. and you dont know which type of bulb the car is using ..

now u say u cannot turn on filament with hi beam lever .. that means either your bulb sudah rosak or the high beam lever not functioning or some wiring problem edi ..

open thread dont use just describe briefly lor .. from change bulb > hi beam not functioning .. apa u mau ?

perdana main lamp bulb is H4. no need to think about all the rocket science involved. switch on the headlamp, it will light up the top filament hence the low beam. flick to high beam, it will light up the lower filament and u get the high beam.

if it's dim, i guess it's because u r seeing only the small bulb. nak troubleshoot sendiri, cabut the other side bulb, swap and see. confirm rosak, go to spare part shop rm15 je h4 brand biasa2.
