Hi Lendi
If you intend to buy a pup, please be extra careful with pet shops and if possible, check out if there is any reputable home breeders at your place in Penang. Check out the place and the condition of the genuine breeder before considering buying a pup from them.

If you are in KL, I can recommend a home breeder in Cheras where I got my furkid from. Once a while, I am still contacting the auntie to update her on my furkid's status and checking out some tips from her.  thumbup.gif

Dear all,

I have a jack rusell named muffin, she is a long hair jack rusell. My mum keep complaining that her hair is very long and wan to bring her for grooming (drop a lot of hair). But the problem is she is super hyper active, especially when someone touches her (she tot someone is playing with her). Can anyone recommend a good groomer for me preferably at PJ area (I stay at SS2).

Muffin eat blackwood (puppy). She is no longer puppy as she is going to be 1 1/2 years old. What to do, my mum said she only eat small pellet. Bought her the adult version (lamb&rice), but she refuse to take it. Somemore broke at least 3 bowls. mad.gif My mum changed from ceramic bowl to steel bowl.... then she flipped the bowl. Now she is using stone bowl (heavy and tahan lasak). Neh, the one that normally ppl use to "tumbuk" chillies or garlic.

if possible, this weekend I will take some pictures and share with everyone (might not be a good pic coz she is the type that cannot diam diam sit down). May b u guys can tell me whether muffin need to do grooming or not. smile.gif

At the moment got some old pics to share (baby muffin and her siblings)

pattern is just like Dookie without the body patches. only on the head and tail wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Hi hi, sorry for the late reply... i was kinda new to LYN, so actually there was a time I couldn't find this thread, lol. Anyway, thanks for the compliment... Mil is a real cutie, hehe.
Actually, I adopted her when she was 3++... she's 4 this year... I haven't start training her yet and I do need some professional advice on this... When she's out for a walk, I still have her on-leash... which I hope I'd be able to get some guidance on how to train her for re-call... and am oso interested in bringing her for agility training... but so far the time-table that they have is not suitable for me...
I hope am able to meet more JRT owners, to share wif me their experience on raising JRTs...

The training classes are usually on Sunday. Should start with basic Obedience Class first before we go to Agility class. In OB class we will learn basic commands whereby u and ur dog will start to communicate and do bonding. For us, using a leash is a MUST because we live in a NOT DOG Friendly area. Besides that its a safety measure because JRT are hard to predict and sometimes they will dash here and there, esp. when they see something that attracts their attention a lot! Anyway, good to hear that u adopted ur dog, adoption saves lives! rclxms.gif

Well, I always hope that I can do the same to my jack oso, but knowing the circumstances and their unpredictable behavior, I rather leash him. But, my recent Silky (Belle) is really good at heeling and I have confidence to unleash her during our evening walks, but I just dun trust the drivers on the road and those dog unfriendly people. nod.gif

Oh, you have a Silky... cool... btw, I have a Shihtzu ( Chelski aka Chels). My Chels, he's the relaxing-type... not really fond of walks....
Just wondering, whether the same thing got happen to you or not... most of my frens prefer Chels then Mil... i dunno y...

Hi Shingin,

Maybe you can try your hand on plucking your JRT? We plucked our JRT sometimes in the weekend when we are free. He looks like out of shape with all his long fur.. It makes him look like a hairy muscle man especially on the chest.. brows.gif haha

Add in more pictures and stories.. wow am beginning to feel this thread coming to life again. way to go
