QUOTE(djlah @ Feb 4 2014, 09:40 PM) if you want to continue with email, just reply them the monitor purchased stand alone, no dell system bundled. only 27" monitor or above have service tag behind. the best and fastest way is direct call Dell Malaysia toll free number (check Dell website for the phone number), just get ready your Dell order number/invoice number of the monitor purchased before call. Thanks, i will try to call again tomorrow morning, fortunately i got purchased full 5years warranty

QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Feb 5 2014, 09:20 AM) Yo llk! The U2312HM does not exactly have a "unique" service tag number so it does not really matter; However, to determine whether your U2312HM qualifies for a 5 year warranty, it will require you to have your order number (that was requested from me when I verified my warranty with Dell). Oh and also... U2414H coming soon. Need to get a good 3~5m displayport cable. Then can daisy-chain my current U2312HM to my U2414H. Let's see if the U2414H is good enough for me to buy another one. I just call Dell, the technician ask me to snap photo for my monitor & send him for verification, hopefully they honour warranty to me

QUOTE(Chew Yongxian @ Feb 7 2014, 01:19 PM) Dafuq? Damn bro. Replacement again. Ya bro, damn pissed off QUOTE(sai86 @ Feb 7 2014, 01:44 PM) omg call them to ask for replacement again and tell the CS to freaking check the unit b4 send to you. what's the use for them to deliver so fast yet another faulty unit!! mayb next time you can ask the deliver guy to wait until you checked the monitor 1st. and ask him to giv you another unit OTS if its faulty. lulz I think the delivery guy will not change to me on the spot bcos every exchanged must go though customer service for recording purposes.

QUOTE(lex @ Feb 7 2014, 04:07 PM) White screen plus vertical lines symptoms indicates LCD panel problem (Tcon board failure) and usually have to replace the whole LCD panel. Looks like its going to be RMA again, and hopefully not deliver another bad apple. That depends, sometimes they have another unit with them (for another customer) which can be exchanged (and have to notify Dell himself as well). Should have quickly test/check the monitor first before the delivery guy left... Ya, that was my mistake didn't test it on the spot, too confident with the replacement unit Btw, just received call from Dell, another replacement unit was arranged & will be delivered on Monday

QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Feb 8 2014, 10:55 AM) You're not alone in this. Happened to me before too, in the end requested Dell to bring over a total of 4 panels/replacements to my place and my current U2312HM panel is the best among the few sent to my place in terms of backlight bleed and button responsiveness. lol By the way, U2414H in the house. I wanna get another. lol Wow they can do that?

QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Feb 8 2014, 11:08 AM) Perhaps I was only lucky. I had been sending my U2312HM back and forth to Dell due to issues though (backlight bleed, unresponsive buttons, one unit even has a glaring defect across the panel like yours) so probably you'd not want to be me lah lol. Anyhow glad that's over, and now I have a perfect U2312HM. Dell's support is pretty awesome. If all else fails... BUY THE U2414H!!! Minimal bleed, minimal IPS glow. Very nice panel. It seems like nowadays dell monitors quality really bad, i really hope the replacement unit that going to send on Monday do not have these type of problems

QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Feb 8 2014, 11:23 AM) I think it is likely to do with the fact U2312HM is being out-phased though - What they will have left in inventory are refurbs. So you'd very likely need to go through a few replacements before getting a decent one. OMG! Next week i will resume my work after long holiday, so it is kinda impossible for me to wait at home just to received & test the monitor. Will they accept topup & change to the new 24in monitor?

QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Feb 8 2014, 11:30 AM) That I am not too sure though... Honestly I doubt, but you could try asking. But eh, it won't be that bad lah. Just wait and try out the replacement, seriously. Don't worry about it until you get *another* faulty replacement, then you can go nuts all over Dell logistics. That is tiring, really hope don't get another 'lemon' again. If really so unlucky i will try my luck to ask for topup

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Feb 8 2014, 03:50 PM) looks like upgrading 2 dell is like a ticking time bomb ready 2 explode any time haha so true Mine was about 2years plus, anyway i wont say Dell is bad cause they provide longer warranty period with little amount of top up (i topup about RM38 to get extra 2 years warranty), other brand i don't think they will provide 1 to 1 warranty exchanged.

Replacement unit received today & tested, it is refurbished unit as stated on the box unlike the previous replacement unit which is brand new, however this unit look like better than the previous unit, no leaked back light & color quite balance throughout the whole LED panel. QUOTE(Jcsy @ Feb 10 2014, 08:14 PM) talking about dell and warranty and monitor u2312hm mine i think have some problems already (1.5 years) just the left side to the middle, got "refreshing lines" non stop, and fuzziness what do i do? call dell for warranty, or the seller that sold me this ? 5 years correct Call dell customer service directly, fast service, normally can get the replacement after 2 days (referred to my case)
