Hi. Just wondering. Any of you guys tried the 27-inch S-IPS by Shimian?
*
Wonderful piece of technology for a very low price.
Love my Crossover.

Same panel as the Shimian, but of course the shimian is cheaper.

where u get? from ebay?
how much include shipment?
*
Got from eBay.
$320 Crossover with Height adjustment.

Need to send message to seller to ask for cheaper price and justify it by saying that shipping to Malaysia is cheaper than shipping to the US.

any dead pixel?

No Dead pixels.
Not sure about the backlight bleed, but it looks pretty good to me.

Case is very sturdy with the metal backing.

Too bad the Dell 2740L isn't a 2560x1440 version.
It has pretty decent specs

wow that is a one weird monitor lol.. i feel so strange when seeing a 16:9 monitor at office and change back to 16:10 at home..i wonder how does this monitor gonna give more impact lol
*
Using some trigonometry, it gives an effective screen size of 23.3" on 16:9 videos with 2 black bars on the side.

So, this means that this can be imagined as a very wide 16:9 24" Monitor.

was browsing through some website and found a cheap 2560x1440 IPS 27 ( at around $ 350 to 370 usd and also currently they have free shipping AND also bulk option iinm). There any many seller selling it at ebay but only 1 with free shipping currently.
My tangan so gatal after reading this lol~ read source 2 for more feedback at page 1 and sry if someone posted about it before

edited: if u are in korea u can get them for 250+ only iinm lol~ it is basically a steal, though their only downside is on their warranty issue. Read overlock source for more info.

Yes, they are very cheap. But i got damn unlucky buying the lcd. My panel got marked as lcd tv. Fedex was a pain in the behind and they wouldn't help renegotiate. End up paying a lot more than i would have.

If you are buying, just use poslaju, so if anything happens, can go talk with ketam and make rayuan.

35%? wow, if kena then really need icon_question.gif

If was able to declare as pc parts, what would likely be the tax from kastam?

which seller did u buy from? I will avoid that guy just incase i am getting 1 tongue.gif

Fedex was being a pain in the behind. Also, due to South korean - Malaysia FTA, the actual tax is lesser. Maybe 30 or 25% for LCD TV.

If you use poslaju, you can meet up ketam to rayuan. But this is just a guide, no guarantee that the ketam wont tax you.

im trying to find 27" lcds

but the ultrasharp price is ..... not exactly in my budget

Look for the qnix 27inch monitor in ebay. Comes with PLS panels, which some say is as good as IPS. I do not have them. But i bought a crossover. 1 year on, everything is working fine.

The price is pretty decent. However, do note that if kastam kacau, they can tax it, up to 30%. You can reduce at by 5% to a 25% tax by quoting the Korean - Malaysia free trade agreement.

Remember to ask seller to post the actual price in the custom forms.
