Must be direct influence from TFT Central's remarks. The U2312 has a default cd/m of over 200, that's scorching bright. Forgot what's the fL but generally you need to turn it almost all the way down to get it to 140cd/m which is already 20cd/m above usual setting. However, these are monitors with LED technologies, not plasma screens and are not meant to be used in a pitch black environment. Therefore, we shouldn't be too picky about its black level. If customers want a good monitor, the U2x11 series should be purchased instead but that's 2 x the price.

Glossy screen does a lot of funny trick to the brain, not only would it look more vivid, black level also would magically increase, no sarcasm here.

the 120hz is just superb.. needless to say! as smooth as never before i play the games n even normal use!! bright, clear and also free calibration by Idealtech  

Is it durable ?   

MVA panel, has good black depth but response time is even worst than the worst of IPS so IMO it's not worth it.
And also the big chunk of plastic panel beneath it is waste of space IMO, not so standard stands, looks very flimsy and might just break if pushed a little harder.
If you just needs the screen and can sacrifice everything else then you may get it, but I wonder how you go for the warranty later.

its a us warrantied item. seller provide 1 year warranty .
i asked the seller a week back.
