HI guys, icon_rolleyes.gif
i would like to upgrade my monitor mainly because i need the IPS for the digital workflow.

my current setup is:
SyncMaster 2253LW

Considering upgrade:
DELL u2412m (RM899) vs DELL u2312hm (RM 589)

given the details, do you guys had any other option beside them?
which is better for buck and could last a while?
p/s: does matte and glossy really matters?

thank you smile.gif

hi guys,
could anyone tell me the best for my option?
i was looking for an IPS monitor and this stuck me quite good.
my plan is to use it for photo editing and secondary gaming

Choices:
U2312hm + spyder calibrator = around rm900?
U2412M = around 900?
or
wait for U2413?

thank you smile.gif

wuah u2413 cost more than 2k??
fainted.

so which is the best for buck?
u2312 or u2412? both an IPS screen.

or is there any other viable choice for IPS from other brand around that range?

thank you wink.gif

U2413 I think almost close to RM2k or something. It's of a totally different standard, a much higher quality panel. Something like 100% sRGB, 99% AdobeRGB biggrin.gif

If you're looking at the Spyder4 Express, it goes for RM400+, Spyder4 Pro goes for RM600+ Downside of the Express version is that you can only use it on ONE computer and there's no ambient light detector.

Anyway, no need to get calibrator la, just find me will do laugh.gif  tongue.gif
I'd go for the U2412M for the extra vertical pixels (1920X1200) which can be helpful when displaying/editing vertical oriented pictures smile.gif
