Ive used u23 before and i loved the usb ports + swivel.
Is there any other alternatives that i can consider? Usage is photo editing but not too pro that i require overkill stuffs. Budget would be around 600.
I really loved the u23 but if theres any ips option with accurate colors and is smaller in size, id love to check it out

QUOTE(marfccy @ Oct 26 2013, 06:10 PM) i think its not so mainstream, hence harder to find.. all those months of looking into pricelists.. i never see any U22s U2312 also not so cheap dee, All IT IKANO selling for RM649 just few months back i bought it at RM570 from them Weak ringgits i guess. Some sellers love marking up prices. QUOTE(ktek @ Oct 26 2013, 06:12 PM) Fizzy-Fiz marfccyoops, sorry it was awailable last year. didnt know dell my already stop selling. AFAIK, price raise due to latest stock from supplier has 5yr warranty Iinm, cyntrix sold them half a year ago for 589 with 5y + hdmi.

QUOTE(Racerx @ Oct 28 2013, 06:47 PM) I tried my friend's unit before, it's a decent monitor. The stand, buttons and OSD is better than my LG IPS237L. Image quality wise,it's roughly similar so it's pretty damn good for RM500. what about against u23?

QUOTE(Racerx @ Oct 29 2013, 12:39 AM) I haven't spent enough time with the U2312HM,but image quality *should* be about the same. The difference is in the design, stand and USB hub really. Dell's OSD and buttons are also as usual very good. IMO you can't go wrong with any of them. thanks! my beef isnt the price though, it's the size. I'd kill for a good 21.5' FHD IPS, last time I lug the u23 back home it gave me some serious headaches.

hi, currently having a problem with my monitor.
left side becomes green. Not a fault with cable, changed to VGA and still the same. not the GPU either, disabled it and still the same.
any ideas?

hi, one of my monitor's acting up. it's been several days but since I havent had time lately I didnt bother.
the left side of the screen shows horizontal lines resulting in pixelation on that side, the white balance is also affected, sometimes it becomes green, sometimes purple. switching cables does nothing (DVI>HDMI>VGA all same result)
should I call dell or is there a way to fix? I've never called tech support before, is it really like what they say, call and they straight come to take (I'm in Kuantan btw) or is there going to be a lengthy conversation first?

QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 24 2014, 08:11 AM) just remove all cable from monitor, left only power cord then do the monitor selftest. just call technical support if still persist. no need google, the article already included the nvidia tool to enable full sRGB. 2407WHP & 2408WHP is old tech, not so comparable. let's take panels launched this few years ago to compare. my eyes not so good in differentiation, here is the spec comparison for color: Color Gamut| U2412M | U2413 | U2414H | | 82% (CIE 1976) | 120% (CIE1976) | 85% (CIE 1976) | | 72% (CIE 1931) | 103% (CIE1931) | 72% (CIE1931) | | 74.9% AdobeRGB | 99% AdobeRGB | ?? | | 97% sRGB | 100% sRGB | 96% sRGB |
U2413 still better, specially featuring 1.07 Billion colors and 8 bits + FRC panel. but consider launched price still highest if I'm not wrong. there is no option for selftest.

asking, what are the things to consider before moving to the 99% Adobe RGB monitors? will my normal GC be able to support them or do I require workstation graphics?
