The S2440L's bezel is rather thick, about as thick as U2312HM. In terms of panel quality, well it's not an IPS

Actually that S2440L is considered very good for a VA panel. Check this out: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_s2440l.htm

Basically, they made advancement in response time and colour accuracy compared to previous VA panels. Yes it's a good deal for 24 incher, as long as you are OK with the glossy panel. If not, I still prefer eIPS panel Ultrasharp. tongue.gif

electrical connection to the panel has disconnected from the panel .... U should be using DVI and the line should remain even with the OSD menu/ or screen prompt (exmple: no monitor detected). You should claim the Dell warranty

Bought it last week.
Ya, I've been using DVI since the beginning, but i switched to VGA and the problem still exists.
Both lines will not be visible in a white background, anything other than white, it will appear, including OSD menu/screen prompt.
I just called Dell support, they will be coming over to pick up my monitor tomorrow. smile.gif

Actually, was hoping that you will spend time listening to the 20 HiVi speakers and buy one of them, so the calibration is no issue tongue.gif
