people who stick to matte screen just cannot accept the fact that is the matte screen has poorer media playback/games display.. with matte, u wont see the 'real' details that they made them into HD. look at a thousand plus ringgit ASUS 120hz gaming monitor with matte screen.. the color n sharpness still cannot reach glossy's level

the norm in my opinion is 23 at 1920x1080p for close distance gaming. its perfect. u see from above users on 16:10 24inch vs the 23 abt the same. those who want to game a bit further away without squinting would go for the 27 1080p. the 1440p 27 in my opinion is pure squinting. so big diff. the 24 to 30 6ppi 0.100mm difference so still perfect

for me this means squinting as i am used to 24 1920x1200.

thats y i bought dell 29inch instead of the 27inch 1440p which was just rm100 more

29inch - 2560x1080 - 95.81 PPI, 0.2651 pixel pitch. transition was easy on the eyes.

it depends on user but for me using the 23 as base...higher PPI lower pixel pitch closer i got to be to see or squinting.

Accurate colours does not equate to the over saturated AMOLED screens typically found in Samsung devices. White balance is another huge problem as the whites in most Samsung AMOLED appear very brownish whereas in laptops, it's the opposite, very  bluish. My Dell monitor was more greenish instead but solved by using a pro colour calibrator. Now the colors are damn accurate and professional prints came out perfectly
