I played D1 / D2 / D2 LOD, and i loved it so much.

Jay Loser Did 1 thing good about D3 = RMAH.
All that fantastic element of D2/D2 LoD, gone in D3.

actually yes and no though. the d3 we know today is yet another started from scratch project by JW. blizzard north no longer exist when this happen. the previous "blizzard north d3" was scrapped.
