you have a fantasy of being a kid all over again and have some guy bring you pink cupcakes? hmm.gif

i may be outdated here but has anyone watched 'The Adventures of Kim Jung Un'? There's a part 1 and 2 which is damn funny.

here's one question I'd like to ask you guys. you have people you admire, right? your heroes. have you ever thought you'd rise above them?
*
if it's financial heroes, it might be harder to surpass them because they will most likely be 5-10 steps ahead of you. i would rather use them as a benchmark.

haha, was meaning more like heroes in terms of ideas and principles. you can use financial heroes sure, but what trait of theirs do you admire. and do you think you can take it a step further. something like that.

adam, someday you would. or you'd lose sight of why that person is your hero in the first place. it's an interesting question, what comes after. what happens when your heroes die.
*
i don't think the idea or principle has to die with said hero. even if you aren't 'the one' so to speak, there will be others who are ready to take that idea to the next level.

i don't think i have any heroes that i can say that i admire. it's more a case of 'hey that idea works for me' sort of thing like when you get an epiphany.

haha, a pragmatic man. careful now, it's easy to get jaded don't you agree?
*
i guess it's just a personal trait which is why i became an engineer instead of a chef! it's easy to get jaded if you're in a routine and are complacent so, i believe spontaneity is the key here.

but does engineering require all that much creativity? didn't quite get your first line there.
*
it was my reply to being labeled as 'pragmatic' but yes, engineering requires some creativity. not in the way that arts people view creativity but still, concepts and 'out of the box' ideas when things are at the design stage are still required. you could say it's monochromatic creativity.
