Ugh, what a sucky night on Live today. The one person I got to fight who wasn't laggy I timed out on by chance and he thought I quit on purpose and won't play me again! GR!
Also, coincidentally as I was typing this my power went out for a minute which really made it the Official Worst Night Ever for me. So yeah, er, I'll add you guys whenever. Maybe later tonight if anyone's up for it. |

Do you guys usually come online after 10 or 11? Because whenever I go online at like 8 or 9, barely anyone's online.

There's no real point to it. You just sit around and have fun playing volleyball and marine racing. The only conceivable point is to collect all swimsuits for a particular/all girls (every girl has a different collection of suits) and that would involve a couple of hours at the Roulette table for each girl and 1-2 full vacations to transfer them over to a girl. I'm currently trying to give all suits to Helena; finished Ayane, Kokoro and herself and am doing Lei Fang right now.
Also, if Lei Fang was your partner and when you gifted her a suit and she left, that would mean she hated that suit and instantly hated you and broke up with you there and then. The relationship system in this game is based on girls being extremely materialistic and unrealistic (whatever happened to the "I'm not wearing your suit because it made me look fat" excuse?). |

You basically sign out at the right time. At the Roulette table bet on every slot on a set of 12 numbers and press the Guide button before the "No More Bets" screen. After that, just sign out if you don't hit Jackpot. For notes, you can use 1000$ chips by the time you reach 3.7 mils.
As for Gift-giving, press the Guide button anytime after you select "yes" on the present selection screen and before the dialogue loads; if they decline, sign out before the dialogue ends. It's really efficient since the girls' reactions to swimsuit gifts is actually randomly determined, so this way you won't waste the timeslot or the money needed to rewrap the gift should it be declined; you should be getting every suit red-hearted, really. What do you mean quit? As in quit the game? If you mean quitting the game, either go to Poolside and quit, or in the Hotel select "Quit Game". If you mean quit, by ending your vacation, you'll have to use the "Go Home Tomorrow" option in the Hotel, which is only accessible after one 14-day vacation with any girl.
For 3 & 4, you = current girl you're playing. |

QUOTE("deodorant") How the hell do you win more than like 50% of your volleyball games? A couple of tips for volleyball: - If you're up to spike and you see one of the girls running really really close to the net but not jump to block, aim the ball close and close to that girl. 7_4_1A depending on where you are on the net and where she's running from; 90% chance the girl won't be able to catch your spike. - The AI is much smarter this time 'round; they'll usually aim their spikes to the direction you were running from. Ex: you position to the right as the AI is about to spike, and the girl spikes to your character's left. To try and counter this run in one direction as the AI is about to spike but right before the slow-mo kicks in, run back to the original position. You should be able to receive properly. - Also smarter in that they vary their spike timings between the 'nice' spike version and a the non-rocket spike. Receiving these 2 spikes have very different timings, mostly due to the slow-mo on rocket spikes. The rocket one needs to be pressed quite early after the slow-mo stops. Whereas the non-rocket needs to be pressed a bit later after the spike itself; I say the spike since there's usually no discernable slow-mo on the non-rocket spikes, also since the ball doesn't travel as fast as it would on the rocket spike, then if you press B ala a rocket spike, you'd whiff your receive. - Anyway, there's no easy way to tell between the 2 spikes. Only way is to watch for slow-mo. If she slow-mos then plan to receive like a rocket spike; otherwise delay your receive. - A really good way to bulldoze through the 2 spikes is to just block. Yes, block. Practice blocking and you'll get the hang of it. For insurance, use your partner to cover up anything should your block fail, as the 2 different spikes will get differing results versus a block, but generally it's in your favour if you block well especially if you position your partner properly. - Best spike to block is the set spike (or whatever); the one where the partner will run up and set the ball when she's close to the net. This is a really good time to block because if you can block the ball, chances are the partner is still in recovery from her set so the ball should fly to your opponent's court uncontested, unless the ball bounces off one of the girls after the block which happened to me more than once. - Don't spike normally if you see someone blocking your spike. Seriously. Just feint; time your feint and aim it away from the partner. YAY! Wall of text. Now I feel like playing DoAX2. Too bad I think I got the first batch of discs, since it always has problems booting and gets itself scratched all the time. Seriously the scratches on it are hideous; it's the only game that's behaving like this too. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the 2nd batch of DoAX2? I wanna continue my swimsuit transfers. Edit: Oh, one more thing: the AI is very good at picking holes in your formation, so be sure to cover all your bases as they are setting up their spike. If you wanna unlock the Virtual Pictorial you have to get all swimsuits for any girl. Even then, you can only unlock the VP for that girl.

IINM? In any case, I'm fairly sure it only involves swimsuits; not items or accessories or jet-skis or the secret ticker or whatever.

Bah, Malaysia-Singapore usually still has lag. Don't know about now, like right now, but I'd conjecture nothing changed.

Really? Interesting. Who's in East Malaysia?
I found though, connection's usually pretty good in the morning; 8-11ish, and it's probably not laggy much earlier than 8. |
