I think a missing piece of the puzzle, is that you can overgift. At any rate, here is a blow by blow of the 14 days.

Day 1 started as Christie, pressed Y to get the tour (and reset all relationships) partnered with lisa.
Lost wave race (deliberatly) this seemed to increase Lisa's confidence.
Lost Pool (not deliberatly I screwed up )
Played Vbal against Ayane and TIna beat the crap out of them 7-1
This was the first time I had seen a neutral face on Ayane, she is usually confident or pissed off.
That night, Ayane was confident.
Sent no presents that night.

Afternoon Gave purple Nailpolish (like) she said thanks didn't open.

Morning. Wave Raced against Ayane (and Lisa) and won
Afternoon. Gave Diamond (she changed and kept it)
Mind you I have given her NO LOVE gifts at this point.

I will skip days 6 - 10 because I never recieved a gift from Ayane, and my confidence was low so I didn't try sending any suits. All I did was Wave race once a day, and occasionally gave Ayane a nail polish to keep her from losing interest.
