Sounds not very right but is possible if Apple wanted to A5X has 4 A9 cores too. QUOTE(rooney723 @ Aug 22 2012, 12:15 AM) A5X has 2 cores oni la.......2 cpu core, 4 gpu core......hehe ipad has the same GPU as Vita but with much higher res, thus much more GPU power is needed to render graphics.ipad hd capable of playing vita games.......apple shuld market their ipad hd as a gaming device too.......if nt then very wasted la......hardware so powerful but never been fully utilized..... QUOTE(unequalteck @ Aug 22 2012, 12:35 AM) Our GNex is already using SAMOLED HD |

QUOTE(rooney723 @ Aug 22 2012, 02:04 AM) haha, depends on sony lo......but if they realy do it they cn make alot of money, imagine all the millions ipad hd users b able to play vita games......they cn earn alot of revenue frm games Not saying that its impossible, it would be nice to have too. But if you understand how Apple works, you'll know that it is near zero chances that iPad will start supporting PS suite. wat they need.....a playstation suite for ipad (found in the sony tablet s n they dunneed emulator since both device use exactly the same chip).....n controler cn use ps3's controller....it cn b easily done... QUOTE(im_not_stupid @ Aug 22 2012, 02:08 AM) if anything, they'll just ask those developers to port the games to iOS and make those games suited for touch screen controls, instead of running on Sony's software. Plus Apple already have their own app store, that is already full of games for themselves, just not Vita kind of games. Apple's game ecosystem is just not the same as Sony's mostly because of hardware. They have to cater for previous gen devices too, unlike Vita that the developers can make games specifically for it only. That's the advantages of hardware developed specifically for games. |

Like I have mentioned before (even in the first page), GPU's most important function is to enable you to play the games that you want to play. So far I haven't face any issue in this regard yet. Benchmarking is fun, but that's about it. It doesn't represent real life usage.
Games will be mainly developed for the lowest common denominator, not the highest end to maximize market potential, sans the few games that is developed to show case hardware. Hence why the GPU in GNex will be good enough for another year or 2. |

QUOTE(hallucinogen @ Aug 23 2012, 04:00 PM) its just that, a microSD card slot is too common i don't even bother to ask about its existence. It's a design decision, there is a reason behind it, you can read about it in the first page somehow, Google has taken the same path as Apple, using the storage size to play around with customer. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Aug 25 2012, 11:50 AM) Only for Custom ROM ok. Sometimes this thread is flying too fast, I can't read all the comments, its better to PM me directly if something is needed to be done.Added on August 25, 2012, 11:51 am No no... I'm showing the facepalm to vernon. Not you. I know you're not paid to do this. I always respect you much because I know maintaining a thread is hard. I can do that to vernon because we're friend in real life mah Sorry if I offended you. I just want him to sort of help you out by informing you through PM. Anyway, I've updated front page to link directly to vernon91's post, this will allow him to update it as frequent as he like. |

QUOTE(MoZuFi93 @ Aug 31 2012, 11:12 PM) Want to ask, do you guys buy a case for your Gnexs? It seems that the phone is much beautiful without it, as my imak case makes it rather fat, and it doesn't seem much of a black monolith after putting it on.. Opinions? My primary case is the Ringke Slim, but still I use my phone naked 95% of the time.. rarely put on the case. I like it a lot more when the phone is without the protective case. My phone is still in perfect condition until now, despite dropping a few times throughout this "almost 1 year time". It could just be me bring lucky though.
