where do we go from here? I am not sure. but I do know patience is needed. And courage to face a series of potentially disastrous results, looking at the upcoming fixtures. I hope it wont happen but I wont be surprise if it does.

There's no point wishing for Dalglish or even Rafa now. The owners made a choice. They bought Brendan's philosophy and his vision. I for one am backing Brendan because this is his FIRST game as the boss in one of the most competitive league in the world. Yeah, it was an embarrassment, to say the least, but if anything, it should wipe away any delusion from us that we will achieve glory this year.

LEts hope for better display and better days in the week ahead. Lets hope that Brendan will stick true to his footballing style and more importantly, lets hope that there will be at least 5-6 first team players that will adapt his philosophy soonest possible, and get the team to play some football that resembles a team in progress . There are many many flaws in the team that needs to be rectified. Getting someone to score regularly will go a long way in helping.

And I make it a point to never feed those trolls whose fulfillment in life is just to drop by here and invite some attention whenever we achieve a bad results or one of our big money signings is not doing too well.

Wonder what is the actual meaning of no option to buy?
if it means we cannot buy him no matter how well he does, this doesnt sound a signing suited for long term building...

but i'm so desperate now i'll welcome him..haha

so much to write about..

1. wondering if Skrtle was thinking of keeping possession there...when a normal stopper will just thump the ball to the crowd...cant blame him if that was what happened....

2. last night game showed that this team CAN play. And we have the players to play good football and win matches. I was not very convinced after last week's mauling by West Brom. But last night, its clear that Liverpool do have the manager and players to do well.

3. Then, the same questions will be asked in the coming weeks. Is it because its City, the champions? Do Liverpool always perform when they're playing the top 4? Liverpool always seemed to turn up when they're playing United or Chelsea. Which Liverpool will appear when they play the likes of Southampton, QPR, etc?

4. We need a goal scorer. Possession football gives you higher chances of winning. But goals actually win matches. 3 matches in the season, and we've not scored any strikers type of goals. Borini looks lively and a handful but it might not be wise to rely on him for goals (he's only in his early 20s and this is his first season...) Suarez creates better then he scores (although the freekick last night was sublime). Since only Dempsey is strongly linked with us at the moment, i hope the owners will take out the cheque book one more time.

5. I was extremely thrilled with Allen yesterday night. What a simple and yet smooth player. A Xavi-type of player..collect -pass, collect-pass..recycling possession. Also happy with how Jonjo responded. Thrown in 5 minutes into the game, and yet he rose to the occasion despite not performing in the previous matches. Coates looked good as well, better then Carra (which is important). Sterling was fearless. Borini was tireless (but we need goals...). The team last night showed no signs of over-relying on Gerrard's typical gung-ho style of wanting to take over every move we're involved in. Instead, it seemed to be using Gerrard's experience in midfield as a co-worker with Allen and Jonjo.

6. We might have a squad good enough to compete in all fronts this season. I dont think we'll win anything major (lowering my expectations, hehehe) but it will be good to see 2 competitive first 11 playing. It will be nice to see the likes of Adams, Spearing, Downing (if Sterling continues to shine), Carrol , Flanagan, Coates (when Agger returns) playing in the Europa or LEague cup ties. IF they do well, then we can minimize the impact of injury or suspension to the first eleven.

7. the negatives? Reina is still not the same goalie as before. And we still need a goal scorer.

8. And how will Sahin fit in? smile.gif

nice piece of letter by John Henry. OR is it merely good PR? Maybe combination of both...

whatever, the owners will have have a long road ahead to prove that they are capable and good owners...
